Nothing but the truth in your comment

eric1003423d ago

x360 cant run 1080p native games

plus i dont think anyone will pick up x360 when LBP reviews are in

Montrealien3423d ago (Edited 3423d ago )

You guys are funny, and have no clue what you are talking about.

the 360 has HD (720p/1080i/1080p) games, like the PS3, up scaled or not, they are by deffinition in HD. The PS3 has one advantage at this point, Blu-ray.

You guys are funny, and have no clue what you are talking about.

and these are getting cheaper every month,

ya digg?

If you want to play great games, get both consoles, they both have an amazing line up, and will be competing for years to come, deal trolls.

ambientFLIER3423d ago

They are just messing around...just to get under someone's skin. They know well enough that there are a few 1080p native games on the 360. Don't even bother with them.

Montrealien3423d ago (Edited 3423d ago )

the main point I want to make is that both consoles are HD consoles. Resistance, LPB, Uncharted, all look 720p

360 1080p uspcaling aside, both consoles have a great selection of HD games, in 720p. On the playstation, many are sony's main first party franchises..

are people now saying that 720p is not HD?

Selling an HDTV with a Non-HD console

power of Green 3423d ago (Edited 3423d ago )

Funny coming from a fan that owns a console that lacks true HD qualities like: vivid, deep colors lacking in range, High REZ/sharpness/crispness, Contrast ratio, Deep Blacks.

The Panasonic 32" 720p HDTV LCD and the Xbox 360 Arcade SKU for $699.98 will sell like hot cakes, most people don't even own HDTV's most games are 720p native.

The 360 does have "FULL HD"(1080p) native games dic, there is a trend of PS3 games doing sub HD not the 360 lol.

My bundle:
Samsung LCD+360-Monster High speed HDMI cables needed or not+Monster Home Theater Powercenter HTS-800 with Stage 1 v.20(makes an hell of a difference with deeper colors and blacks plus sharpness due to clean power filtering)

Xbox 360 HDTV bundle fit for a kind(the 360's hardware HD capabilities were tested on Samsung and why you see sammys in every 360 koisk, it's not only the partnership but the 360 shines on sammys.

HD on PS3 means games lack the other elements of HD other than REZ?

JasonPC360PS3Wii3423d ago

LOL like selling PS3's in the game isle when it should be in the DVD isle.

"Funny coming from a fan that owns a console that lacks true HD qualities like: vivid, deep colors lacking in range, High REZ/sharpness/crispness, Contrast ratio, Deep Blacks."

You don't even OWN a f*cking PS3, so how the hell would you know this? Let me guess, you go off of internet videos and Game Trailers comparisons? LOL. You know, when you turn RGB FULL on, you get the FULL range of color, as well as enhanced contrast and black levels. Even WITHOUT RGB full activated, games still look vibrant and colorful. You know, you can only achieve so much with a console before you have to adjust your monitor / TV settings to gain a good appearance.

Also, games like Pixel Junk: Eden, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank and Wipeout HD sure look like they have a ton of color to me. Then again, you have never EVER played those games, so you are really just talking out of your ass again (like usual).

You try to sound intelligent, but it's all just a ruse.

Montrealien3423d ago

I think, no scratch that, know that both consoles are full HD. To think otherwise shows lack of current gen gaming knowledge and pure fanboyism.

eric1003423d ago (Edited 3423d ago )

No x360 game runs at 1080p native

there are 23 ps3 games which run at 1080p,some with 60 fps like

Wipeout HD
Full Auto 2

WKS runs at 1080p
and so are 20 other games

@power of bastard

No x360 game run at Full HD -1080p
so why even bundle
all x360 games look bad on any TV since x360 doesnt have teh power to do realistic colors

X360 doesnt even have HDMI 1.3 support. It supports just HDMI 1.2

x360 is more appropriate for SD TV not HD

PS3 is the only console that supports HD

ambientFLIER3423d ago

wow, alexM got another account, I see.

its still a good idea to try to usher in a few more people to the HD age

PirateThom3423d ago

HD is the way to go and the more people that buy into it, the better.

meepmoopmeep3423d ago (Edited 3423d ago )

i've noticed the BestBuy/Futureshops i've went to lately redesigned their shelves.

when you walk it you're smacked with the Xbox section and every end of the sections has something Xbox related hanging off the shelves.

edit: lol, wtf, i'm not trolling. i've been to 5 stores, it's re-arragned.. it wasn't like that 3 weeks ago. if it's the gaming section it's xbox section first. some stores have it right when you walk in.

sonarus3423d ago

Its a pity they can't watch some blu ray movies on that:(

gamesR4fun3423d ago (Edited 3423d ago )

I meant if they give you a arcade 360 n a 32 plasma fro 6 or 7 hundred its not a bad deal. You'll get a good five years out of it especially if you leave your 360 on a lot for the first 3 years. The best deal I saw at bstbuy was 600 for a lcdtv that size add a ps3 and its still under a grand. A little more sure bet its the better deal imo... Yeh i know but never mind all the benefits of having a lcd tv Just figure in free online wireless controller wifi b/r etc. No doubt some of you will disagree just cause your pro 360. Still don't change the fact the ps3 is easily worth twice what they sell the arcade for if you know how ta work a calculator that is. Still no doubt a 200 price points gonna generate sales and that hopefully means more gamers. Oh ya an I know one thing for sure the Wii's will be flying off shelves like hotcakes. Just how stupide people are buying an overhyped wii over a 360 thats cost less... Dammit if it keeps up expect the next gen hardware to take a step backwards.

JasonPC360PS3Wii3423d ago

So MS are bad guys, and it's their fault that people want 360's more?

loki_ns3423d ago (Edited 3423d ago )

I'd say that they are NOT newer models because they are both 720p not 1080p.

While I'm sure that it will move some conoles, one could argue that Best Buy has packaged together two technologically outdated items to make them more palatable compared to the top end models.

*edit* Eh? I thought this would post lower... see 2.5

Ateanboy3423d ago

I don't know, to me it all seems like a big waste.

I have a couple of friends with Xbox360s, and they aren't interested in high-definition...

I suspect that the people who ARE interested in high-definition, ALREADY have a PS3.

It seems like a big waste to bundle an Xbox360 with an HDTV. It's an oxymoron.

Xbox360 and its HD-DVD for movies only is NOT high-definition.

callahan093423d ago

At Jason360:

You know as well as I do that this promotion has nothing to do with consumers wanting the 360 more than the PS3. It has everything to do with Microsoft & Best Buy striking a big fat enormous cash money contract together.

Sitdown3423d ago (Edited 3423d ago )

So when Best Buy was giving free bluray players, including the ps3, with tv purchases.........who did Best Buy have the "big fat enormous cash money contract" with then?

xhairs93423d ago

Best Buy already does this with PS3's, instead of bundling the system you get a massive price cut coupon when buying an HDTV (of any year might I add). The only catch is that it might have to be a Samsung or a Sony tv in order to get the coupon, however you are not limited to an (lol) 720p crap tv (lol 720p...lmfao). And also you can buy this years tv and not last years tv for the coupon.

(PS it did help sony when they did this, my brother-in-law owned a 360 and when he bought a new tv he immediately bought a PS3 with the coupon).

JasonPC360PS3Wii3423d ago

360's are sold at Walmart's, K-Marts, Sears, Targets, Circuit City, GameStop, Bluckbuster, Radio Shack, and just about ever other place that sells electronics. So... what is your excuse for those stores displays and it's consumers who prefere the 360? Is Sony poor, can they not afford to advertise it's own products? Did they all of a sudden just up and forget how to set up store displays ads for Playstations, even after they been doing it for so many years? Or did Microsoft just slip money under the table for all those other stores in some "hyper conspiricy" to keep Playstations out of american stores? Whats going to be your next excuse for PS3's not selling, Microsoft made a deal with god?

wallace10003423d ago (Edited 3423d ago )

@ loki_ns
Lots of new release tvs are not 1080p, because not everyone wants a 1080p set and under a certain size it is a waste of money. If you are going to have a 1080p source and have the money for a nice 1080p set then fly at her, but many average joes don't and if they are only feeding a tv HD satellite or HD cable then there isn't much point in them buying a 1080p set. Also many consumers can't tell good PQ from great PQ to save themselves.
Samsung 720p & 1080i sets:
Sony 720p & 1080i sets:
Please no more uninformed comments about tv resolutions. Not all new HDTVs are 1080p because many consumers don't want or need a 1080p set.

@ Ateanboy
Are you kidding me, stop being an idiotic fanboy. The 360 outputs HD as does the PS3. 720p, 1080i, or 1080p, take your pick. 360 with an HDTV is night and day when compared to a 360 with an SDTV, the same as it is with a PS3.

callahan093422d ago (Edited 3422d ago )

At Sitdown:
Who do you think? If you think they're giving away systems with TV's for the fun of it, you're wrong. Can they ink one deal with one company today, another with another tomorrow? You betcha.

At Jason360:
You really don't think that the displays you see in stores are paid for by the companies being promoted in said displays? I worked (sadly) at a GameStop for 5 years, and let me tell you that every single display you see in those stores is sanctioned, paid for, and designed by the companies being promoted in the display. It's a contract, and if the store fails to set up the display properly, they can be sued. Almost all in-store advertising is done because of contractual agreements. Why would they store choose to (for free) advertise "random" products on its own walls, shelves, and floorspace when they can instead charge money to companies, in essence renting that real estate out to the benefit of both parties involved (the retailer & the producer).
