GameSpy writes: "Square Enix's presence at Tokyo Game Show can only be described as monolithic. The publisher's real estate on the show room floor rivaled the likes of Sony and Microsoft. Hundreds of gamers crowded around the publisher's stage for the latest and greatest news. Even more stood in lines that were hundreds of feet in length to play the long-awaited handheld updates to the Kingdom Hearts series. We joined the fray at the last minute on our last day of show coverage and checked out the wireless multiplayer of Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days. There's not a lot to report regarding huge details, since no one was around to translate anything for us. The core multiplayer experience is both cooperative and competitive, and whether you can read Japanese or not, the fun is baked in.
In wireless mode, up to four players can go out and raid together. We picked Sora to test out the adventure alongside three other players. The action is simple; tap a button to attack, hit another to slash. The touch screen indicates your destination. From what we can extrapolate, your goal is to hunt creatures in a group, but you'll need to collect gold and glowing orbs to gain rank and health, respectively."
+Combat and visuals adapt well to the DS's hardware
+Four-person multiplayer is fun
-Very brief demo that was completely in Japanese, so we don't know too many details
