^agreed but between the two, the cartoon style is easier to process as opposed to trying to be detailed like PUBG. They should prioritize frame rate over visual style for both in order to get a nice solid performance and fun gameplay experience.

As for Fortnite, I am not a fan. I like it, but I am not a fan of all the building and demolition. Too many distractions, less tactical feel. I'm a fan of PUBG's realism.

I personally prefer Fortnite, but it's a shame to see PUBG getting dragged through the mud by people that base their opinion soley on which console the game is available on.

PUBG is slower and more tense, with more emphasis on strategic positioning and much more emphasis on building interiors that really changes the dynamic of a firefight for the better. Fortnite is more accessible (despite the added complexity of the building and destruction), but the act of shooting another player is far more satisfying on PUBG.

I also have no problem running PUBG at 4k with good settings. I only took up PUBG when it got the 1.0 release, and I was genuinely surprised by how competent the graphics and performance are because I had bought into the FUD round here.

Fortnight is just running away from PUBG gameplay wise and word is getting out how much better it is. I like PUBG, fundamentally, but its relative appeal is wearing off fast. PUBG still looks and feels like an elaborate fan mod. Fortnight looks and feels like a professionally coded game, and the gameplay is obviously deeper with the building aspects.

And having played both, I prefer PUBG. Fortnight is great, it's fun, runs almost perfect and the shooting is easier but in a Halo kind of way (not a bad thing), Faster to jump in and have fun.
PUBG is just more intense for me, I think that is why I like it so much. I don't get the "Fun Factor" from PUBG like I do Fortnight BUT I get this anxious crazy intense feeling from PUBG that not many games have given me, the last time I had that feeling was playing Battlefield 4 with 64 players for the first time.

I once said the same thing about Minecraft, but after I started looking at it more logically, I could see it's addictive nature being very appealing. Same as with Angry Birds or Candy Crush. Games which just became exponentially more popular as more people were talking about it.

I feel that PUBG right now is at that pinnacle of everyone is talking about it, and the Xbox announcement only sent that into overdrive, because before then, console gamers weren't talking about it, and I think most hadn't even heard of it.

Whether that appeal is lasting really depends on if the devs manage to fix the issues, and hopefully create more content to keep it fresh. It's not unheard of of something really popular to simply drop in popularity when the next big thing comes along....or they simply go back to things which they liked before.

I love PUBG, even with it's current issues. No, it's not perfect, but I've had better moments on PUB then I have on fortnite. I'm not saying fortnite isn't fun either, I enjoy the having the vehicles, and the FPS servers. PUB adds that extra stress of surviving in first person. People aren't just sitting on corners using their cams to see you a mile away.

I also feel like fortnite isn't what it was when I bought the game, because of the BR added to Fortnite, the main game isn't even talked about anymore. I feel like those of us who bought the game for $40+ bucks funded the real game of BR, then made it free to everyone. At least PUBG hasn't strayed from what it is, or lied to get us to buy it. If PUBG was a BR only when you bought it, then they said, "it's going to be free soon, with a single player/coop campaign being our main focus from here on out" you wouldn't be happy either.

In all fairness to Epic though, they told those of us that paid for Early Access that it would go free to play within several months. We (me to) were to impatient to wait. People that just play it for free don't have access to Save The World mode either so we got our moneys worth. I like PUBG better as an idea, but Fortnite is well executed where PUBG feels like a proof of concept. If you could go into FPP,equip attachments, and drive vehicles in Fortnite hardly anyone would play PUBG. My 9 year old son asked me why it is so ugly when I was playing today, and all I could say was the people who made it don't know how to make it look any better. Also, on Xbox One it has some of the worst controls and aiming that I've ever seen.

I know they told us it was going free, but at that time free meant the "Save the World" campaign. It wasn't going free for BR, now that it's taken off, BE gets all the focus. I still like the real world applications of the weapons and gear in PUB, and the graphics debate is always going to be there, but I don't play games because they're visually striking to look at, I play them for what they are, the game. Yes, graphics can make a great game better, but they don't take away from the core. On PC you can make it look great if your PC can do it. The console though is still in preview, and it's getting updated weekly. People are all about right now though, and right now I get why people are saying FBR is more enjoyable for them. I'm just asking people to wait for the finished product, it says before you buy it, that the game is unfinished. It's that support that's going to make it the game we all want. Oh and I don't know if you've seen the recent update, but they've added a new control scheme for better ADS control. It's helped out a lot. I understand your opinion though, and I respect that.

I agree we need to see how PUBG shapes out in Its final state before we judge. Yeah, I've been playing with control preset B since the patch, but it still feels off. I do well it just still feels cluncky but like you said its not finished so we'll just have to wait and see. I wish its controls and aiming were more like Rainbow Six Siege.

Oh man siege controls on PUB lol. That'd be awesome. The only thing that BUGS me about PUB is each update resets my sensitivity controls. It is still a bit clunky though. I keep learning new things about the controls too. Like when you pull out a grenade and get the arc to show up before a throw, pressing left trigger turns it into a lob, instead of a toss, and pressing left bumper pulls the pin for a faster detonation. The biggest one I just found out on Sunday, is that while you're running, you can hold right bumper and look around in 360° while still running forward. It's changed how I approach any situation. I was very frustrated with the controls until I started to understand why they are the way they are.

Ehh, Fortnite is the Call of Duty of battle royal games. Fast paced, arcadey, and a small skill gap. Even if PUBG runs and looks worse Fortnite still doesn't touch the thrill you get when dropping Pochinki and racing to find a gun before the 20+ other people who land there or the tactical gameplay of playing in squads. It's basically the BF vs CoD argument. I prefer BF.

BF and COD are both polished games were as PUBG isn't.I've played both on console for dozens of hours, and the only reason that PUBG is more intense is because it feels like you have to fight the game as well as other players. The horrid controls, bad aiming, and constant rubber banding keep you on edge because you hope it doesn't get you killed. Thats not good game design. Maybe if better devs made it you'd be right, but as of right now Fortnite is the better game. Fortnite is easier, not because PUBG is intentionally designed to be hard, but because Fortnite is designed better period. Just get on youtube most PUBG videos are WTF moments because the game so often glitches....That doesn't sound like BFvsCOD to me at all. Unless PUBG is COD in your illustration.

That's why in 2018, it's a lil reckless to throw money at any game before checking out some player feedback, vid previews, etc.! Single player looks like a treehouse sim with a lame eternal horde mode (haven't seen much, just IMO!). They wanted $ for that but free later this year!? Doesn't make sense to drop cash now, Epic don't need your money to finish the game, plus they'll want more from microtransactions...

Haven't even bought season pass or spent a dime yet, FT:BR is great though!

If I threw money at every kickstarter n major developer to finish their game or make it not suck, I'd be a bit upset too, though... SMH...

If you're talking about the controls, I had lots of trouble with aiming until this last patch where they added the aim acceleration slider option. Try turning it all the way down. It made the game so much better to me.

Also, my framerate has been really consistent lately (knock on wood) on my Scorpio. Haven't had a chance to try it on the og one yet

What I'm reading from all these comments is that fortnite is better largely due to PUBG running like crap. That's pretty stupid. Played both, to me fornites building is not needed at all. It defeats the purpose of the circle closing in on people in the first place.

Pubg is superior in literally every conceivable way. More depth, more strategy, better graphics (pc), more intense, more thrilling. I think most of the naysayers here just haven't played it. Sorry guys but 30 million people have purchased it and that figure will hit 40+ once it hits ps4.

I haven't played PUBG as I'm a PS4/Mac gamer, but I've played Fortnite BR and it sucks so bad. I've tried so many times to like it, but it just SUCKS. The graphic style, the framerate, the sound effects/music (or lack of), the movement mechanics, the whole "building" idea which is completely unsuitable, the menus/microtransactions. The whole thing just sucks, well, except the 'Battle Royale' gamemode concept which is flat out borrowed anyway.

It's definitely worth a try though, best off going solo because squads team kill or abandon each other.
