It's the 25th anniversary of NBA JAM, a game that helped grow the league's popularity back in 1993.
Good time to do so after NBA2K is stuck in microtransaction hell.
Why would you assume Microsoft/EA wouldn't do the same or worse?
Super excited if this happens. Want to run The Warriors and Boston! "Microsoft is known to be in talks with several developers as the tech giant shops for both timed and full-on exclusive games." Interesting little tid bit there.
Loved NBA jam!
Love the NBA Streets with Carmelo and Hamilton narrating and going around the country to different parks. It had that Def Jam vibe to it.
Me too! He's on fire!! Lol
NBA JAMS....oh man soooo many good times lol. Me n my guys used 2 gamble on it..along with NFL BLITZ Game on
YES! please do MICROSOFT, you have my blessing.
That's....different for them. But I like it. Would definitely be a Microsoft Store/Xbox Play Anywhere game which I love because I can then take it with me to go and play it on my Surface Pro. Could even see it hitting mobile on iOS and Android as Xbox titles. Seems like a good investment.
I was always partial to NBA Showtime on the Dreamcast and in the Arcade
I sense a micro transaction scheme will be in place.
Buy different dunks. Buy different players (you only get bench players for free).
It would get ugly for them if EA and MS took a dump on this franchise... But yeah, my initial reaction was worried that they'll micro transaction everything.
He's on fire!
Dot it! I used to love that series.
Dang. I would want to play this on PS4 or Switch.
Now we need NFL Blitz & not the half assed version the NFL forced on us
Due to the sensitivity of concussion issues these days, do you think the NFL would want to glorify big hits?
It is a Video Game its like taking away Grand Theft Auto when someone does something stupid with a gun
It's a Video Game its like taking away Grand Theft Auto when someone does something stupid with a gun
If i can't break the glass, i don't want it.
This guy is just trying to stir up news. Why is he talking to Microsoft when EA holds all the rights?
Cover art is so iconic, Tournament edition art was badass as well with the ball on fire. Still play Jam once in a while but I've always stuck with "NBA Showtime" game is addictive as hell
Wouldn't mind cooking people up with Chef Steph from downtown.
Imagine the duo of the splash brothers!
Free roster updates lifetime and I'm in
Not worth bringning back imo. It was fun 25 years ago
Microsoft not bullshitin..
Playing as a mascot was mind blowing at the time
Man what needs to be brought back are the 'EA Sports BIG' games like nba street, nfl street, DEF JAM FIGHT FOR NEW YORK
I wouldn't mind playing this game with the current players, they shouldn't try to reinvent the wheel with this though if true.
and this s why people spent $500 on the most powerful console ever created? interesting
I hate to be synical but this sounds like a Microtransactions heaven.
