When people were grabbing pitchforks because Bungie didn't say anything about One X support for Destiny 2 I said that people needed to relax and that I was sure they would do the best they can, I even compared it to the Battlefield 1 situation the year before where DICE wasn't saying anything upfront if and what improvements the Pro version had. Turned out I was right all along, huh? While you probably were the one who was willing to boycott the game entirely upfront...

Thing is tho, devs don't always support all consoles equally and I know you're an Xbox fan but isn't it weird there are no differences between the X1 and PS4? And isn't it also weird that the upgrade the Pro gets is just from 900p to 1080p over the base PS4? Does that make much sense to you? Tells me they just didn't optimise it so well for the PS4 family of consoles. Heck, even makes me wonder if they couldn't have gotten more out of the X1 and One X as well if they put their minds at it!

XboneX doesn't have 60fps mode like Pro. But Pro is more stable in 30fps mode than XboneX. Btw. Patch 1.03 on Pro downgraded res from 1260p to 1080p

I love dealing with assumptive people that run faster when they think they are right so I can watch them take a header. Well down you go.

I began my gaming on the PC. Yet I buy a lot of games on the PS4 but the reason I buy more PC titles now has nothing to do with what you think and I actually had a fairly lengthy discussion on this site about the matter with an Xbox supporter long before the X1X appeared. Things for me are about convenience and I began to buy more PC titles when I picked up a Nvidia Shield TV.

Now I can stream my games from my PC to the living room and play them with a controller without the need to have my PC in the living room. I am not limited to Steam games as I was with the Steam Link. So you see it has nothing to do with either the PS4 or the X1. So there you are. Have some water with that wrong sandwich or you'll choke. But you made it so you get to eat it.

Once again, and as usual, you were wrong in your assumptions.

And for the record I still think the PS4 is a far superior gaming platform to anything MS has produced including the X1X. If resolution is all you have to hang your hat on then you have a great deal to learn about gaming. And you do have much to learn. There is a lot more than resolution that matters. Capabilities like Share Play blow Redmond completely out of the water. It is just one thing Sony has done to build a far superior community. You do not build games around your machine but rather you build a machine around your games. Its always been about the games. MS and its core supporters fail to see this yet cannot understand the pain they feel from being game poor.

I do not feel the need to attack people but rather defend against the mountain of disinformation from a group of bullies that have an extremely narrow view of the game community and what matters. No one on this board has demonstrated this more than X1X supporters. And all without a single exclusive to play nor do they have the superior platform and I do not just mean the PC. As I said there is so much else that matters more than resolution.

But when you want to play the resolution game you are outclassed there too. The PC has your number.

And I love HALO....or rather I loved HALO before 343 decided they needed to try and destroy everything Bungie had built and make Call of HALO. I also played Quantum Break and ReCore. Other than that....dust on one and the other is used to stream Amazon Prime in another room. That's it. So you see that is hardly the same thing, you fail to comprehend again what happened because you made an assumption in stead of gathering facts. Reminds me of Redmond chasing power because they assumed that was the path to victory. Or how last gen they dumped their core gamers to chase casuals because they thought that was the solution.

When a console that is praised to be so powerful (X) underdelivers... is that a knockout? Ok. They had to sponsorize it as "fake 4K native console", since 90% of the games there aren't 4K native.
Weren't the Xbone fanboys the ones that said "resolution doesn't matter" and now they bark like happy dogs when a game has more res on the X than on the PS4? Not because of that fact, only because it's another "my console has more res than yours".

EDIT: and by the way, PC > Xbone X anyway, that's a real knockout. I don't mention the PS4 because of course, on multiplats, PC is better for sure. But at least there are gorgeous exclusives, something unknown on planet X.

Graphics on the pro are not as good as graphics on the one x and it does not matter.

It did not matter when graphics on the Xbox one were not as good as the PS4. And when graphic on ps2 were not as good as graphics on Xbox, that did not matter either.

Graphics between PlayStation and Xbox each generation are so similar. They are like 90% the same and people make such a big deal out of the hard to notice 10% deviation that favoured PS4 earlier and now favours one x.

I maintain these small differences do not matter becuase the majority of gamers did not choose PS4 over Xbox one this generation due to PS4’s better graphics (at the time). They chose PS4 over Xbox one because:

1. It was focused on games - not forced always online, media/TV Kinect box.

2. It costed $100 less.

3. Sony has more 1st party studios and 3rd party Japanese support and therefore have more high quality games like Neir, Nioh, Bloodborne, Persona 5, that do not come to Xbox in addition to exclusives games and franchises only found on PlayStation like Uncharted, The last of us, God of War, The last guardian, Gran Turismo etc.

4. Sony’s reputation for creating new franchises and games. Like last generation uncharted, infamous, heavy rain, journey, The last of us were all new. This generation we’ve already seen new things like the order, bloodborn, days gone, Horizon zero dawn, Detroit become human, the new game by sucker punch (ghost of something) and a really high caliber looking Spider-Man game!

This is spot on chief, and Ninty are reinforcing that message with the strength of the Switch's popularity. Resolution is great, but it's isn't the determining factor for most gamers, good game design, interesting gameplay and solid art direction are all far more important to a games quality than technical prowess.
