From GamesReviews: Assassin's Creed Rogue is being remastered, according to Ubisoft and numerous of its employees. Check out the trailer!
Oh, good! It's the only one I haven't really played because I had moved onto PS4/Xbox One by the time it came out.
The 360 disc works on XB1
I haven't done physical since April 2014. I am also not going to go out and buy a physical disc of the X360 version when I can get this version with updated visuals/frame rate.
The same with me. It's the only Assassin's Creed game I haven't played, so this is great news to me. I'm a big fan of the series and I've heard good things about Rogue.
I have a physical copy for the PS3, but never opened it. Went PS4 and never went back.
Same here. I was hoping for a PS4 release.
Remember when we bought new consoles to play new games? j/k
We’re getting plenty of those too.
Another game that easily can be on the Switch but for whatever reason, not going to be released for it. Was looking for this on PC recently but this works better.
I loved Black Flag, so that naval combat on the go sounds perfect. But alas, it doesn’t seem to be happening. On the plus side, at least I’ll be able to platinum it!
Agreed. Black Flag was my favourite AC game until Origins. The naval combat in BF was awesome fun.
I’m guessing it’s much easier to do a PS4/Xbone port than trying to optimise an open world game for Switch.
I think if Dark Souls can be ported, and Payday 2 can work on it, Rogue should have no issues in either mode.
Assassin’s Creed: Rogue was far superior to Assassin’s Creed: Unity The better 2014 AC game got overshadowed
Its just insane to me that two AAA AC games came out on the same day.
The announcement only mentions Xbox One & PS4, I'm wondering if the "remastering" will include any improvements over the original PC release.
If it does have improvements they better release it for PC too or I'll be very disappointed. I own all the other Assassin's Creed games on PC.
I doubt they improved anything.
I'm surprised it took so long. One of the best AC's IMO
It was only released 3 years ago ! It doesn't need a remaster. Why not spend time and resources on making something different, or how about a new Rayman game ? It's been a while since Legends was released now.
A lot of people missed it, so why not port it to more systems? Don’t get hung up on the “remaster” marketing gimmick.
Well, it IS kinda better than Unity but eh.
right because that'll help it sell...
If you've played one, you've played them all, Black Flag being the exception, to a degree
Yet, people keep buying it because it is fun every time.
Most times, I’d say, not everytime. Don’t forget about the complete snore fest known as AC III. One of the most boring games of all time. Origins, Black Flag, AC II & Syndicate were all great though.
So they are porting the pc version and calling it a “remaster”.
So they still milking these remasters
I finally understand why PC gaming is the way to go, auto remaster function
I would have liked to see this game bundled with Assassin's creed 3 remastered.
Awesome all we need is ac 1 and 3 and well have them all
now they just need to remaster 1 and 3 and all would be on current gem
That's cool. I bought unity instead but I was highly disappointed. The free running cling made me want to throw up, it was so amateurish and took me out of the game completely. I didn't get far into that game at all. Is rogue more like Unity or Black Flag in terms of feel? I think Blag flag is the best in terms of motion and controls. If it's more like that I will give it a shot in the future for the right price.
By far my favourite AC Game.
Depending on price and how good of a jump to this gen the graphics are .its a buy or pass. Don’t get me wrong this was the best assassins game at the end of last gen. but truth be told I can get this on pc looking ace for 10 or ps3 for around 20 . So charge a decent price UBISOFT like 19.99 and it’s a deal .
