Brandon Bui, Gamer Professionals Editor-in-Chief, reminisces about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and the experiences he's gathered with the game since his previewing at E3 2016.
This year is indeed phenomenal for games. BOTW won GOTY but not without serious competition. Its that good of a game.
We ended up having Cuphead on our list for consideration, with it ending its run in second!
"There’s not a ton that we can hate unilaterally, either, except the rain. The rain jus ruins everything . . ." Now in my third playthrough, I must agree this is the only egregious negative. Even the unfortunate durability system can be mitigated to a great extent with experience (and Hestu's help). Everything else is pure joy, and we can choose which aspect of the enormous undertaking we want to pursue on any given sitting. It so far has not gotten old. I haven't even come close to that feeling of "that's enough" that makes me put down one game and move on to another. I quite enjoyed reading your piece. Thank you for that.
I loved this piece. Echoes my sentiments. Really long but a great read.
