One of the main new mechanics I encountered during a Tokyo Game Show demo is the introduction of new rhythm challenges. At certain points in the game you'll need to have a certain amount of LocoRoco creatures in order to initiate a rhythm segment. Hit the PSP's circle button to play the notes that appear on the screen, and if successful, you trigger whatever comes next. In my case, it was waking up a creature so it could ram into some giant rocks that were blocking the way."
