No it didn’t. Wii had an extremely packed first year of software.

January- Warioware: Smooth Moves
February- Wii Play, SSX Blur
April- Super Paper Mario
June- Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition
August- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
September- Mario Strikers Charged
October- Battalion Wars 2, Zack & Wiki
November- Super Mario Galaxy

Plus it also had plenty of Virtual Console games spread out, unlike with the Switch.
