IGN writes: "Though absent from the public eye for most of the '90s, popular '80s toy franchise My Little Pony has seen something of a resurgence in recent years. New toys, TV shows. Straight-to-DVD films. And so it was only a matter of time before the classic young girls' brand from Hasbro made an appearance on Nintendo's DS, seeking to capture the audience of little women there who might have an appreciation for little ponies. My Little Pony: Pinkie Pie's Party is that release, and, in the game, it's time for a celebration.
Pretty pony Pinkie Pie is turning three years old. But before her party can proceed as planned, she'll have to track down 20 of her hidden presents. They're scattered all across the rainbow-bright town of Ponyville, and finding them all will mean having to meet and talk with all the other My Little Pony characters, keeping a sharp eye out for clues hidden in each area and house, and completing a series of fairly simple mini-games."
