Pretty much every PS game you will see showcased will be shown on a Pro. That way they are shown in best possible light for the platform.

This was waay better graphically than the last of us though. The amount of effects and stuff going on also completely dwarfs it too, which also makes it several times harder to maintain that visual quality.

All youre gona do in the last of us 2 is shoot fungus ppl and do the walky talky. But death stranding? Jeezuz raptor christ look at that sh*t! What was that giant thing?! If DS will actually come out looking and playing like that, then holy zues balls the game speaks for itself.

I´m sorry, but Kojima hasn´t mastered Decima yet. Horizon Zero Dawn has far better visuals than Death Stranding.

I don't know, never played that. I had a particularly bad experience with Dark Souls 3. Dark souls 2 remaster spoiled me with it's 60 frames I guess but it's so hard to enjoy DS3 or any action game on sub 30 coming from that.

Whaaa? I had mostly consistent 30 fps on my og ps4 in ds3. our milage may vary but i found bloodborne to be worse in technical performance. Do you have a large tv? Anything over 46" will probably make a console struggle. Alas, ever since i got a pro almost all games are coompletely stable.

Hell i tried out bloodborne on boost mode and its MUCH more stable. I always had framerate chugs in the 1st part of both old yharnam and the dlc and poof now its smooth as a baby's ass.

I have a pc now, so hurray 60 fps for all games! But no bwoodbornez :(

It was an open field and a crater. It's not a bad looking game, the performance capture on the faces was excellent. But let's slow our roll, it's not out yet and it took Kojima 4-5 games (MGS4 was close) to make a game I actually enjoyed playing.

I'm just saying, hyping things up based on trailers and zero gameplay is perhaps just a little... Childish.

PS you never specified visually, just that it was the best place to play games. I've spent more time playing the last 4 Total War titles on PC than any of the exclusives on Xbox or PS4. It's like... We are all different or something man.

This game is still at least two years from launch. I hate it when publishers endlessly show what a game is before it is even close to launch.

We have seen this time and time again from the first party publishers and it is really not good. It is not like Sony don't have games for 2018. They should be trying to sell those games not the games that still in a long development cycle.

Agree. That engine is very effective when you look at what they managed to do with The Frozen Wilds in just 10 months. Herman said it himself that they started making it one week after the release of HZD.

I'm OK with it. I don't mind knowing what's coming. I'm not so impatient that I can't wait for a game release. Whether I wait 3 years, or 6 months, it wouldn't really change my hype unless the game stopped being interesting in those years leading to release.

There are instances like The Last Gaurdian where the game was in Limbo, everyone knew it was in Limbo, and it still got shown from time to time, but the time tested practice of showing off a game for 2-3 years is perfectly fine to me.

It wasn't until it became a console war talking point that we saw this much disdain for having to wait for games. before that, people were always eager to see or know more.

It's funny how everyone is trying to figure out what it all means just by the trailer. When you know that the game will be released and you'll beat it and you'll still be scratching your heads wondering what it was about. That's Kojima for you. The only real thing I can decipher is that the baby is probably the key to mankind's survival. It's the mcguffin.

I feel time manipulation or even time travel maybe at the heart of the setting.
Maybe thats just me though haha. so many weird things going on like the guy aging in seconds.
There was a cool post on N4G about stuff you may have missed.. I dont have the link but you can see the baby powers the thing they carry on their back when Sam picks it up. Feels like it may be the baby/entity is communicating , experiencing the world through it?

What I gathered from the trailer was that a new big bang happened that altered gravity, physics and erased most life on our planet that we know of, and it brought with it a new unknown entity with powers beyond our knowing. That baby is like you said probably the key to human survival.

I'm really looking forward to what he does with unbridled creativity from his own studio. MGS was his baby, but it established a lot of things early on that got stuck to, and the last game seemed very much like it had too much publisher influence. Granted, he botched the story, but it still had some of that crazy Kojima flare....although not as much as I would have liked to have seen.

There is a belief that the big bang happens in a cycle. Space will expand, then crash back in on itself, only to expand again. There is another notion that the Big Bang is part of God's plan on how to create the universe. It's a theory that links god to science. It doesn't discount the creation of earth or man, and there are correlaries between the first day and the big bang.

Anyhow, not really discussing the virtues of either the scientific principal of expansion or God's part in it, but it seems like that could easily be worked into a story that can put the two together. I got a very strong Night Terrors feel from all of it. The crushing of the one soilder is like the feeling that one's being crushed by something unseen. The inability to breathe due to that crushing or terror being shown by them trying not to breath. Then of course, the unseen entity, that eventually forms a shadow. The premise that there is some demonic aspect of it through the footprints. The dazed floating feeling where it feels like you're in another world. Night Terrors are typically also experienced by younger children...although not babies like shown in the trailer, however babies(or fetuses) do represent the young as well as new life. Sleep terrors often have a demonic presence attached to them.

Anyhow, just pondering.
