Twinfinite reviews which developer it considers best of 2017.
My vote would go to Guerilla Games. What they achieved with Horizon was incredible given their lack of open-world pedigree.
Atlus, Guerilla Games, Naughty Dog, and Nintendo.
Yeah, easily Nintendo. The other devs mentioned all did great work, but nobody consistently put out great games at the clip Nintendo did this year. I don't know if anybody ever has, to be honest.
^ disagrees for Nintendo? I don't get it. I dare someone list a better list of games than Nintendo's main internal team games of Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, ARMS. Let's see N4G ... don't just disagree ... actually list the developer and their games that you think beats this list.
Gotta give a shoutout to Sega and that story in Yakuza 0.
Larian Studios for Divinity Original Sin 2
Hmmm... There's a few. The best AAA publisher in my opinion, has been Bethesda so far. No loot boxes, micros, tagged on multiplayer or bad DLC stuff in TEW2, Wolfenstein II and so on. Dishonoured 2nis a great game too, despite being from last year. The only problem has been their paid mods fiasco for Fallout 4. But considering the repeated questionable actions of other publishers, it's minor.
