Tried on my A1E and KS 8000 and it doesn't work on either TV with my Pro.....typical Bungie

BeRealisticNow80d ago

That’s a bummer. It was working on the KS8000 and the One X for me earlier, hopefully they fix whatever the error is. Seems like Bungie can’t get their crap together sometimes

Have the same TV, the KS8000. HDR isn't being detected from my Pro. You'd think with them having a partnership deal with Sony, they would make sure the very much touted HDR update would have been handled with much more care. Go figure.

Feel like this is more of Pro issue than X

On the side: The KS 8000 is pretty amazing man, like it holds it own against my Sony OLED and its WAY CHEAPER

Yeah, got the KS8000 for a steal and its a nice set for gaming, that doesn't break the bank.

I have the ks8500...updated destiny 2 b4 I went to work, didn't see any HDR notification. As far as 4k goes, I thought it 4k already.

Ks8000 here too. Didn't notice any 4k difference and hdr doesn't work.

That explains it. Thought I was going crazy. i'm like I know it should look better than this...

Hdr notifications dont display anynore on my kd8000

But if u hit the button on the remote it will pop up in the right hand corner.

Native 4k on the OneX, “adaptive” 4k on the PS4....doesn’t say if there’s other additions as well

Ibetruth80d ago

There was an article awhile back that said they’re adding hdr as well

gangsta_red80d ago

I have to say, I was one of the people here that thought there was a chance Bungie would actually gimp the X because of their deal with Sony.

Glad that wasn't the case.

TankCrossing80d ago (Edited 80d ago )

But if the only difference is "native 4k" instead of "dynamic 4k" then who's to say they haven't gimped it? That's not even a difference, that's the X having the grunt to better-maintain the 4k target. There could be loads of headroom on the X. If all else is equal then it seems likely there is about 4GB video memory sitting empty on the X for a start.

Hopefully Digital Foundry will do some proper comparisons between Pro/X/PC "Ultra" because the Activision-Sony deal adds a little extra intrigue...

At least Bungie didn't hold anything back, even with their deal with Sony. Nice to see that they are pushing the hardware regardless of contracts.

Kribwalker80d ago

well, i’m sure they could have upgraded the textures etc, i haven’t tried it yet so i don’t know

Still haven't played D2 in weeks due to playing so many games. I'm only on level 14,once they fix this issue I'll jump back in especially starting a 4 1/2 week vacation from work in 2 weeks.

I have an LG B6 and Pro. No HDR. It's very buggy on my PC as well thanks to problems with Nvidia and the "Creators Update" screwing up HDR for me.

maybelovehate79d ago

Yeah, Creators Update really did a job on HDR for Windows 10. They are aware though, hopefully it will be fixed soon.
