There are issues with the latest patch for Destiny 2, just in time for Curse of Osiris.
Tried on my A1E and KS 8000 and it doesn't work on either TV with my Pro.....typical Bungie
That’s a bummer. It was working on the KS8000 and the One X for me earlier, hopefully they fix whatever the error is. Seems like Bungie can’t get their crap together sometimes
Have the same TV, the KS8000. HDR isn't being detected from my Pro. You'd think with them having a partnership deal with Sony, they would make sure the very much touted HDR update would have been handled with much more care. Go figure.
Feel like this is more of Pro issue than X On the side: The KS 8000 is pretty amazing man, like it holds it own against my Sony OLED and its WAY CHEAPER
Yeah, got the KS8000 for a steal and its a nice set for gaming, that doesn't break the bank.
I have the ks8500...updated destiny 2 b4 I went to work, didn't see any HDR notification. As far as 4k goes, I thought it 4k already.
Ks8000 here too. Didn't notice any 4k difference and hdr doesn't work.
That explains it. Thought I was going crazy. i'm like I know it should look better than this...
Native 4k on the OneX, “adaptive” 4k on the PS4....doesn’t say if there’s other additions as well
There was an article awhile back that said they’re adding hdr as well
I have to say, I was one of the people here that thought there was a chance Bungie would actually gimp the X because of their deal with Sony. Glad that wasn't the case.
But if the only difference is "native 4k" instead of "dynamic 4k" then who's to say they haven't gimped it? That's not even a difference, that's the X having the grunt to better-maintain the 4k target. There could be loads of headroom on the X. If all else is equal then it seems likely there is about 4GB video memory sitting empty on the X for a start. Hopefully Digital Foundry will do some proper comparisons between Pro/X/PC "Ultra" because the Activision-Sony deal adds a little extra intrigue...
At least Bungie didn't hold anything back, even with their deal with Sony. Nice to see that they are pushing the hardware regardless of contracts.
well, i’m sure they could have upgraded the textures etc, i haven’t tried it yet so i don’t know
Still haven't played D2 in weeks due to playing so many games. I'm only on level 14,once they fix this issue I'll jump back in especially starting a 4 1/2 week vacation from work in 2 weeks.
I have an LG B6 and Pro. No HDR. It's very buggy on my PC as well thanks to problems with Nvidia and the "Creators Update" screwing up HDR for me.
Yeah, Creators Update really did a job on HDR for Windows 10. They are aware though, hopefully it will be fixed soon.
I tried it on my LG B6 OLED TV with the PS4 Pro and can confirmed HDR doesn't work at all...
I have the E6, so I will assume it won't work there either. Haven't tried yet.
It works for my c7 with the xb1x.. This sounds like it's a ps4 pro issue
I've got the samsung ks9000 65" and i downloaded the update today and my tv say HDR is active. On Samsung tvs u have to select the source your console is on to see if HDR is active. Samung removed the HDR notification that used to pop up on screen. Im playing on the xbox one x. Hope this helps
Uhhhh...wtf are you on about? Seriously? Yikes. Xbox is getting stomped a mudhole by ps4 AND switch. Yet you continue to yammer. Typical. LOL....nice block attempt. You lose, yet again.
I swear, some off you guys have gone off the deep end. The guy is just responding to the article dude. What's your problem? Seriously
+bigpappy I was responding to the lame calling itself Maca80, who, in some feeble attempt at something I haven't quite figured out, sent me a private message about a comment I wrote in these forums a full two years ago, carrying on about some nonsense or the other, then attempted to block me.....so I replied on an unrelated comment he made as he tried to scurry away like the rat he is. He knows what he did....that's all that matters. He can't hide from himself.
The KS8XXX series has not displayed HDR is enabled since about 5 firmwares back. If you check your settings your backlight will be set to 20, which 99% of the time signifies HDR is enabled.
KS8000 doesn't show HDR Notification anymore that is correct but you can just hit 123 key on remote and scroll left to info it will say UHD HDR on top right corner if HDR Content is playing just UHD If not.
That is correct
That is good to know. I have 3 Samsungs in the house, so I can use one of those remotes. I know some variations of this model came with the candy bar style remote, but mine simply came with the one remote (smart remote). Thanks for the tip.
If bungie added HDR why don't I see any settings options? Running ps4 pro/LG OLED
Should activate automatically when the game starts if the TV supports it. There are no settings.
HDR working for me. Xbox One X, LG C7
What does HDR add to the game to cause so much complaining? Is the game not playable now? How many hours have you logged before the HDR patch? I did hear that without HDR your games would cease to be the playable anymore. Is that because HDR adds new gameplay mechanics that can only be experienced with HDR? One time, I turned HDR on and Infamous became Half Life 3, it's crazy because no one believes me when I tell them. It's because they can't see in HDR, their eyes can only see in 4K. Limited mortals they are. Lol
So much complaining? There's like 30 comments man. Are you new here or what? Cause that's nothing compared to some of the other articles. I'm seeing mostly people commenting on whether it is working for them on a given TV/console. That's it. Hardly complaining and worth your sarcastic comment. Lol
My clanmate said the same thing yesterday. I told him how good it looked in fauxK w/HDR and he said, "Don't matter I am shooting the crap as yesterday."
Works fine with my ks8000 65 with the X
It's there on ks9500.
The PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro will also get HDR support with the update. The PS4 Pro already supports 4K through a mixture of dynamic resolution and checkerboard rendering, but Bungie's wording in the announcement suggests the Xbox One X may run the game at native 4K. On the other hand, it might mean that the One X uses checkerboarding but always stays at the highest resolution. So it is not that xbox x is like all 4k native, since it still uses checkerboarding...not saying it is a bad thing....but hey it i sjust compare to the ps4 pro again difference it is thre, but not a deal breaker, while games are a deal breaker....this is the thing i want to tell every one consoles are all about games....i will get an xbox x if esclusives are on the table....like scale bound etc....
Anyone else find the D2 HDR to be "off" a bit? Mine renders kinda dark and all my other HDR 4k games pop. I have a great Sammy 4k SUHD HDR 10 Pro Tv.
