Let's Tap may just redeem creator Yuji Naka for all the post-Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog games. The product of his recently-established studio Prope, Let's Tap takes a novel approach to the human/game interface involving a face-down Wii Remote, a cardboard surface, and a set of steady fingers. Naka famously stated that "even penguins can play." But judging from what we saw today, they might be too heavy-footed.
The brief demo we got to see rewarded a soft touch and a steady rhythm. Sterling and Miguel got a chance to check out this intriguing little game during a rare quiet moment on the show floor.
+ Novel approach to input and interaction.
- Cardboard boxes are fragile?
- may not justify a full-price release.
