Star Wars Battlefront 2 is certainly not faring well when it comes to sales at retail.
Well, EA have gone too far without self control.
I’m making over $15k a month working part time. I kept hearing other people tell me how much money they can make online so I decided to look into it. Well, it was all true and has totally changed my life. This is where i started>>> http://tiny.cc/-online-jobs

Back on subject, Before the reveal Battlefront was looking to be the new CALL OF DUTY. After reviews exposed micro-transactions, and EA kept giving out intelligence insulting responses pre orders where cancelled and things went south. Because Micro transactions matter. Next time you see a douchbag article trying to brain wash the weak(I mean sway opinion) into thinking we can't do anything about micro transactions. Remember this! This is the biggest publisher. With the biggest IP on the planet EVER, and our money votes hurt them bad. Micro transactions matter. I heard that EA does not stand for: EAT A$$.
The reaction to the stunt ea's tryna pull has been really good. More to come
That's odd since Japanese gamers love their pachinkos.
lol, I don't know why you have so many disagrees, that was a pretty good joke.
Good to see EA fall flat on their ass
It really is, it's been a long time coming. Hopefully people keep the pressure on them. They've been stacking bank on the bare minimum since last gen.
Well EA get what you deserve boy
What's Jinger going to go with here, "Japan is irrelevant to shooter sales" or "well it still outsold a bunch of games that have already been out for weeks/months"?
Jinger doesn’t care nothing about this. People like him is the problem of the gaming community.
"EA starts new scheme where you give them $200 to obtain deadlier bullets and double health in all their online shooters for a one month period. And collect exclusive digital art cards which degrade over time unless you buy digital card protectors for $10 each for that authentic card collecting experience." Jinger - "They're just offering options, nothing wrong with that."
Or they come in peace!
I agree , he is one of the biggest ostriches of N4G. He would argue for being screwed over all day long. He would say: if your getting [email protected] you would just relax and enjoy it, resistance is futile.
This is the way to have Publishers listen to gamers, by hurting the wallets they tried so desperately to stay full. Games as a service EA? Yeah right.
I only hope more people will start seeing the annual sports games aren't worth it and stop buying them.
Amen, although I was guilty of buying NHL and Madden every year between 98-08.
Yeah, they literally put out FIFA sequels on Vita that were nothing more than roster updates and still charged full price for the game simply because people will pay for it anyways. I have no qualms with people picking up an EA sports game here and there but I'll never understand why millions of people insist on buying each and every entry to their favorite sports series every year despite typically minuscule changes. Each sports franchise really outta be biannually.
At least there is a reason to buy sports games every year. With team rosters changing every year, players being drafted in the off season. There are constant changes being made to teams in real life. So I kind of get it. Although I'm sure there is a simpler way to do it. Like release a game, then release DLC updates that update all the team rosters. They could even sell those for $10-$15 if they wanted. Then only release an actual new game when they are ready to make a significant improvement to graphics or gameplay. But still. The sports games at least kind of make some sense. Releasing the same rehashed sequels of some games, like Assassin's Creed doesn't make sense.
I think your logic is TERRIBLY misinformed.. The AC games are no where near rehashed. The story was different, the location was different, the story, the dialogue, new features, new weapons, vastly different (for the most part) characters and uniforms, etc etc.. what do you mean?? Sports games don't hardly change anything. The uniforms are the SAME EVERY YEAR. Most players stay the same every year. The stadiums will typically be the same every year. There is no story (typically), the core of the game is going to be the same every year. They could easily (EASILY) release a game, as you said, and do roster updates.. while spending 3-4 years on making the game even better. The one year nonsense slows innovation. I see your logic as ass backwards. But, then again.... perhaps mine is.
I have played the game and i can tell that this game is not selling and having also bad reviews its not only because of the MT,the game itself the gameplay ...seems to have been making by B team at Dice and not by the same guys that made BF1.Also i dont think the game looks good in some parts and levels the Frostbite engine looks bad due to the graphics roughness, some levels look very good with the rain effects.. but on others it looks bad like the engine didn't make the cut for that setting some things look so plastic unreal, even the faces Luke Skywalker looks like a plastic toy that moves unrealistic...
I agree with you've said, there's more fun to be had in BF1 - and it's also a better looking title. But I'd argue that BF1 is a poor man's BF4, while graphically better - BF1 just isn't as much fun as BF4. Star Wars BF2 is dull and boring.
Luke's face looks a little rough but overall the game looks pretty spectacular on my TV. The HDR really adds something compared to the first battlefront. I haven't played battlefield so I can't comment on that.
Justice, the extreme greed had in fact ended up costing them money. Doesn't happen often but I love it when it does!
I'm ashamed to say that I grabbed a copy after the MT's were put on hold. I will be trading it in today. The game is dull, unbalanced and ultimately boring. Seriously boring.
How is the campaign?
Didn't touch it, I don't buy DICE games for SP. I've never finished any of the campaigns from Battlefield 1, 3, 4 - just don't rate them.
I liked it. Nothing ground breaking but it was enjoyable. Longer than I thought. Everyone said 5 hours and it took me 8.5 hours. I wasn't speed running and like to see scenery here and there though. The offline against bots has been the most fun.
Let this be a lesson to ea and any devs that wanted to follow suit
The reaction was well deserved. I'm glad people reacted putting EA in their place. "EA fell flat in their ass" due to their own attempts of being unfair with their clients. EA, if you gamble with our money and our time, we will make you fall hard to the ground like we did with Star Wars Battlefront 2. Activision, Ubisoft, Take 2, Microsoft take notes. This could happen to any of you (Microsoft, Activision, Ubisoft or Take 2) on a black Friday, so respect your clients and their time.
Funny you said "EA fell flat in their ass" Because EA=Eat A$$
I hope it drop even further in other areas of the world.
This is what can come when gamers unite, regardless of their plaform(s) of choice. Then we have the ugly side of gaming....when fanboys gloat when a franchise is seemingly failing (i.e. Forza 7). Fanboys have no place in gaming.
Good points except Forza 7 was a bad choice. Because it too has Micro transactions that caused it to drop in sales from forza 6 week one sales. Despite people having a new x1x with great graphics and a desire to show off what it can do. Despite xbox one having more than twice as many machines out now compared to forza 6 sales base in 2015. Forza 7 deserves it too. Screw all micro transactions they are all inroads or gateways to the dark side.
