Actress Janina Gavankar opens up about her starring role in the new game and why you shouldn't judge a member of the Inferno Squad just for following the bad guys.
I think most people will know her from the League than from the trash BF II is.
How are you getting disagrees? Are people actually buying BFII?
People are indeed buying BFII
But she isnt a poster child for the Empire, she's just another rebel.
Considering Iden was boring, bland and had hardly no memorable elements to her character I doubt it. Oh and the ending twist....yeah didn't see that coming.
Let me fix the title for ya: How 'Star Wars: Battlefront II' Crafted a New "Poster Child for the Lootboxes."
People shouldn’t judge a villain for being a villain?
She is ridiculously hot
She was? I haven't played Battlefront but considering no one has brought up her character or the SP campaign I doubt they were noteworthy to be mentioned.
Not at all, story was ass, she isn't even part of the empire anymore. The empire has plenty of poster childs far far better than her.
No, have you seen any of the new star wars movies? Do you really think Disney is going to take risks and let writers make the bad guy the Main character? That would be way to Intersting.
"She isn't even part of the Empire anymore"....That sir, is a spoiler. Nothing to do with movies.
Spot on, idiots like these are why comments are like poison to gamers
@midus/mexxan Why are you even on a comment section for an article about battlefront 2 MC if you don't want to be spoiled on the story. What do you think they are talkin about?
No I remember her from true blood because. . . yep . . yep . . .whew . . .
EA might be paying people (my theory/opinion) to push Gavankar on us to distract from their problem with BFII. the idea of "sex sells" rather than them actually noting a talented actress/voice actor. :( think about it. A bunch of old greedy wrinkly business men in suits sitting at a table think "What is a good way to distract and make us look good? Oh yeah! throw a hot woman at them!" Just like us gamers, EA does not care about their talent or studios (mind all they've shut down and taken over) -- just money. This is another PR stunt in a long list of Gavankar related posts of seen on here (N4G) within days of BFII's release. The gaming community and the public should NOT get distracted by EA's tactics.
The advertising for the campaign is incredibly misleading... she's definitely not a poster child for the EMPIRE.....
Ya just had to tell everyone didn't you? Useless.
If all storm-troopers looked like her, sign me up for the Dark side baby! BTW, the game is fantastic. I don't get all of the bullshit surrounding this. People won't be happy until the companies that make the best games go out of business. Then they'll turn their foolish bitch rants to another target and complain that there aren't any good companies. If you don't like it, don't buy it and STFU.
If you don't understand all of the reasons why there has been backlash, you are part of the problem. It's clear as day corrupt and greedy practices, not to mention not much substance in the gameplay or content.
