Thing is have they ever said or used the phrase outside the context of the interview in question.

It sounds like something an evil corporation would call what they did. Just imagine Dr. Evil saying it making air quotes.

The gaming media... or ea? The lines have blurred... ea want money, Gaming’s media is controlled by money..
So who knows.

Godmars290337d ago

Because the gaming media wants money.

Meh. The whole reason things have become what they are is:
1) Gaming media, in that their chief advertisers were game making, was always compromised.
2) Since site revenue is based more on traffic than actual content, any need for stories to be good much less accurate, to be anything more than direct positive statements from game companies, any consumer interest became meaningless.

Corporate speak, they have a track record of scummy behavior but want the benefit of the doubt after they launched a cash grab using the star wars title nah,no deal.
