EA has sent an email denying what USGamer has mentioned, with USGamer themselves updating the article to reflect it.
At this point, I don't know if this is true or not
Even if it wasn't they've said like another dozen or so shitty things on this situation which is even worse
Ripiss Star Wars battlefront 2.
Thing is have they ever said or used the phrase outside the context of the interview in question.
It sounds like something an evil corporation would call what they did. Just imagine Dr. Evil saying it making air quotes.
The gaming media... or ea? The lines have blurred... ea want money, Gaming’s media is controlled by money.. So who knows.
Because the gaming media wants money. Meh. The whole reason things have become what they are is: 1) Gaming media, in that their chief advertisers were game making, was always compromised. 2) Since site revenue is based more on traffic than actual content, any need for stories to be good much less accurate, to be anything more than direct positive statements from game companies, any consumer interest became meaningless.
Corporate speak, they have a track record of scummy behavior but want the benefit of the doubt after they launched a cash grab using the star wars title nah,no deal.
Given that EA's walking cancer bag of a CEO can't say 2 words without something involving gouging people for money? I'm pretty sure this is all BS. EA is merely spewing various words right now, throwing everything it can at the wall, and hoping something sticks. One little inch of sympathy is all they want as a foundation, on which they would build their entire move forward with this garbage. I can't believe people aren't beyond angry, and downright OUTRAGED, as this pile of s--t company basically tries to turn them into pinatas. Last I checked, most people work a really s---ty job for their money, and they willingly give to some the worst people on the planet at EA. They're vampires who couldn't give the slightest s--t if you have gambling tendencies or addictions, and inadvertently spend a crap ton on their shovelware, which is entirely designed to psychology encourage spending on it, because of them. Indirectly, they're happily stealing your life, as you give your time for your money, and they want to siphon as much of your money as they can. It's not good business, it's psychological manipulation, and really, should be illegal in a world where the governments aren't as corrupt as the corporations, but here we are. How people don't see this company for what it actually is after the past 20 years of its operation? I have no friggen clue. Just how blind, stupid, clueless, and oblivious are people these days? EA has been headlining the crappiest practices in business for the past TWO decades. LOL Jesus.
WOW at every turn there is a sinister aspect at play to extract cash. Accelerators. In other words we have PURPOSEFULLY delayed game progression to incent the player to BUY progression. What a shit move. I mean you cannot make this up. What happened to making a fun experience. One that you WANTED to play. Not to accelerate/pay your way through. What a total and absolutely sh1t show EA has on their hands.
Thank God that Donald Trump invented the term 'fake news' for this type of eventuality.
