The rivalry between Mario and Sonic was once fierce and bitter. Fast forward a little under three decades, and the race doesn't even appear to be close anymore. How have we gotten to this point, and what lies ahead for these two stalwarts of gaming?
During the 16-bit wars I was completely on Sonic's side. It pains me to see the rivalry turning into a downright massacre.
I think it will be better for Sonic to stop for at least 10 years. So we can all forget about the bad days of Sonic. And then let the team patiently work on a new sonic game that we all want.
Mario has always been awesome and Sonic has always been shit. So there's never really been much of a rivalry.
Mario left Sonic so far in the dust that it isn’t even funny anymore. Sonic could have been as big as Mario, but the dumbasses at Sega got their heads so far up their asses with the 3D Sonic games, which essentially almost kill the franchise. If it wasn’t for Sonic Mania this year, Sonic would have been dead to me.
