there´s no struggle. The identity is right there, with sonic Mania or generations... Sonic is a far better 2 or 2.5 D platformer, than a 3d one. When they acknowledge that and design a game with this in mind it shines... sometimes they just forget it.

Exactly, they've nailed it twice with Generations, then Mania. It's obvious that's what fans want. Sega are just too hard headed to listen.

Problem is there's die hard Sonic fans that live in LaLa land where nothing is wrong. I mean go onto user scores on sites like Metacritic or even look at the disagree bombing on here for example...people want to make out Forces was amazing where nothing was wrong. Long as they keep making their mouths go Sonic will never get better.

Sonic Forces is an awful game in general, not just an awful Sonic game

Sega fucked Sonic when they gave him long skinny legs and a stupid cartoon.

If you pretend there is only Sonic 1,2,3 and Sonic Mania, everything suddenly gets better.
