Yggdra Union brings a bunch of elements to the table but fails to excel in any one area. The overall package is somewhat tempting, but most of that appeal will only be appreciated by an incredibly niche audience. Its presentation, gameplay and story are all fairly derivative. There is a slight twist to the gameplay but it's not quite enough to set it apart. Though it offers a very decent strategy experience, if you're comparing it to other titles in the same vein, you could certainly do better. 3.5/5
