Sony's eighth generation home console, the PlayStation 4, has surpassed 20 million units sold in the US, according to VGChartz estimates.
That chart says September is outdated af.
Which means the sales is over 20 million lol
Well deserved!! 2018-2019 looks to be even more amazing for Sony and the PS4. Thank you guys for supporting a good hard working company!
Incredible numbers, more games and sales to come
Surpassing 'em all
One wonders if PS4 could ever come close to PS2’s 50+ million sold in North America
Close, maybe, but it’s not likely going to top it. As it stands, PS4 is on track to reach 100 million sold in less time than it took PS2 to do so, but it will fall behind. Unless PS5 is a PS3-level sales travesty or we don’t see it until after 2020, PS4 won’t have the advantage of selling very well after PS5 launches. Either way, it’s looking to do 125 - 130 million, which is still extremely good.
$100 price drop and continued support through PS5 life will help.
And less than 1/3 of PlayStation sales in the US contribute to each Sony console’s overall success. Their worldwide appeal is strong
Congrats. This holiday season is going to push the PS4 even further beyond!
Dam Sony ain't playing this Generation. Congrats
Boy, even if the community wants to read speculative PS5 stories the N4G moderators don't like Sony stories leading the pack of "hot" reads.
The US is its main struggle too for market dominance because of xbox.. Everywhere else its on top.. Software matters.. The switch proved that because its selling like crazy too
