Nintendo is in control this Holiday season.
Odyssey! nuff said
Homer is the man!
Very very very well equipped.
Why wouldn't it be
It's been joked that one of the lyrics in Super Mario Odyssey's theme song, "It's time to raise our sails" is actually Nintendo declaring "It's time to raise our ''sales''.
You're the first person I've heard make that joke, but it's still pretty funny.XD
It will do amazing, provided Nintendo has enough system available for the holiday sales. I know I will be the one picking up my Zelda bundle. :)
It's got Odyssey, Xenoblade 2, Skyrim, Doom, and a huge boat-load of really good indie games backing it up. Also, though people seem to have forgotten, Breath of the Wild has some POST-GAME STORY DLC due up before the end of this year, called The Champion's Ballad, so even though BotW has been out for a while now, you can also count BotW as one of the Holiday's big hitters due to having a new reason to dive back into it, or for those that were waiting for all the content to finally get it after waiting so long. It's kinda weird to think that it WON'T be well equipped.XD
And L.A Noire
That's like asking how well Mario is equipped with Cappy. I THINK THEY'RE FINE
The question should be the other way around.
Switch and Xbox One S/X will all deliver great games with fantastic innovative technology. Not sure about the other consoles in the market. Perhaps they stopped selling.
Im looking for a Kappa... but i dont see a Kappa... i must be blind
@TheColbertiwanker No, no. The "other consoles in the market" still outsell xbone by 2:1. Sooo, no need to worry about that :-*
Very well. Stock will be the only issue. Mario on it's own is enough to entice many old and new gamers.
There's no doubt the Switch will be flying off the shelves this holiday because of Mario Odyssey & XB2 but for me personally those are the only 2 games out of their library for the Switch that's interesting & I haven't seen any other games of interest releasing within the first 6 months of 2018.For that reason I'm not ready to lay down 300+ dollars for it yet.Instead I'll be buying at least 6 or 7 games for my Pro next month on Black Friday.I'll be waiting & watching for games releasing next year for the Switch & if there are at least 4 to 5 interesting titles I'll be ready to buy a Switch.
For me Switch has enough coming soon. I'm getting one next week for my daughter for Christmas, but I will certainly be playing games I want on it too. Mario Odyssey Zelda Mario/Rabbids Mario Kart 8 Fire Emblem Warriors Pokken Tournament Metroid Prime 4 Minecraft All games that are either out already, or coming soon. Plus plenty of others I can't think of off the top of my head. We will definitely get my money worth.
I hear you but the only game on your list that's interesting to me is Mario & Metroid I haven't seen any game play yet,the others I don't care about.I love the concept of games to go & playing at home on your tv,though for me personally I doubt if I'll be playing games on the go that much at all.I would play on my tv more so instead.I'm really hoping they'll release more games that interest me in the next year.
Golf story and steamworld dig 2 for some great Indy games also sonic mania
With sony being 50$ cheaper (ps4 slim) and the pro only being 50$ more than the switch annnd the xb1x being on the shelves id say its not a for sure bet nintendo will own the holiday. It would def be different if mario was packed in the box like the used to for 299...
Assuming the stock is there, I'm entirely expecting Nintendo to slay the competition.
Here in the US the stock seems fixed. I work in a retail chain we have 3 coming in the next couple days. Get 3 to 4 a week and they never sit more than 48hrs before selling
If you wanna talk about sales to grandma and grandpa who don't know any better, and are buying a toy for the grandkids, sure, switch will do fine. If you wanna talk about a gaming device that belongs in our era and that delivers on all fronts, the switch belongs back in 2000 competing with the PS2, Xbox, and Nintendo's own Gamecube.
I didn’t know that “PS2, Xbox, and Nintendo's own Gamecube“ were portable and have as much power as the Switch. Either I am dreaming or you had come from an alternate reality.
I would love to get my hands on that awesome PS2 that people like to compare Wii U and Switch games to. That would be epic.
Its so cute when people let their hate for a particular system drive them to say completely ridiculous things.
Adorable isn't It? His system came out in 2013 and will soon be put to rest so let him be bitter.
It will be difficult market unless someone is specifically looking to get a Switch, however, it is the newest console this holiday. The other consoles do offer more features, larger games library, and are $50 less in cost It will be a competitive market for sure this holiday.
Well in one hand you have a handheld with Wii U limited specs and two games(mostly others are just shovelware) in a period of six months that probably the only games that justifies the purchasing of this handheld, not to mention expensive as hell., And finally you have in the other hand a console with lots of beautiful, awesome, fun exclusives and dozens of great multiplataform games, awesome looking as well, a real console way more powerful spec speaking and not to mention it cost less.

Returned the favor. Seriously, if the only thing you're going to do every time you enter a Nintendo article is bash it, with a lot of bullshit reasons like it being too expensive despite what it's packing into its size, just to troll people who do own it and are capable of giving a balanced opinion regarding it, then you need to stop posting.
I would hope ps4 costs less seeing as it's old af and has slightly higher specs in a much larger case. $300 bucks is expensive for a new console.. Do you remember what your playstations cost brand new? It was a while ago, I'll give you a moment. Newer tech costs more, lol. Tech shrunk down also costs more. As for having two games, a scroll down metacritic shows switch has had 20 games that reviewed better than gran turismo sport since august. Play something edgy and emotional and think on that.
Sony really has you brainwashed lmao!
Switch looks promising but I bought a Wii, and ended up buying a Xbox360 because Wii had no good games (apart from first party).. WiiU tanked as well (good thing I skipped) and ended up getting PS4 (XBOX ONE was on my list but forced Kinect and $100 more was not worth it, plus I missed all PS exclusives so with PS4 I got to play all those). Now I would love the Switch but I am still weary, because of Nintendo's past performance with 3rd party support. The games that are coming to the switch that aren't made by Nintendo are a lot of last gen games I played on my 360. I love GTA (bought for 360 and PS4 and finished both) and I don't see that coming, I don't see anything like Deus Ex, Assasin's Creed (Rumors are not guarantees), MGS5 (even MGS GROUND ZEROS), BF1, Battlefront.. Basically any game that came out in the last 2 years can't really run on the Switch or there is no support to get it to run. Switch would be an awesome second console but its still mainly a Nintendo player, as a sole console for gamers it will disappoint in terms of games. I remember when I was younger and I couldn't afford my own console, and my parents bought my brother and I only 1 console, anything after SNES from Nintendo made me feel like I missed out. I am older now and cautious, money is part of the reason I am not buying a switch, I don't feel like I will get much more than a few games from my investment. I have a family and have limited time to play games, I have a back log of PS4 games I am still trying to get through, I don't even buy new games anymore. Buying the Switch would let me play 3-4 games I want, that is also a reason I didn't buy a XBOX ONE, there are only 3-4 exclusives I want to play, bulk of my gaming is now PS4. Switch may do well this holiday season but do not count the PS4/PS4 Pro or even XBOX One/X out of the race. I know if I was a kid and I didn't have a console I would want one with the most games, and possibly free/cheap games. PlayStation and Microsoft have paid yearly subscriptions but they come with free games, I still ask my wife for PS+ for my birthday because that's 24 games a year I can get, plus Vita games, even if they aren't all great, most are decent. When I bought the XBOX 360 I picked it because at the time it had more games available than PS3, and GTA was announced for 360 as well so I knew I wouldn't miss out. Switch's list is still too short to please gamers with a lot of time to waste (I wish I had that time still lol) and lets not forget that little Johnny will want to play the newest Call of Duty with his classmates, or Battlefield, can't do it on the switch... only XBOX or PS4. that's my 2 cents, sales will be the real determining factor but most people here are a little too optimistic, people remember what it feels like to get burned, and N64, Gamecube, Wii and WiiU (especially) burned a lot of kids who are now parents. Its hard to justify that pricetag for a Nintendo player, even though the games are amazing it is a lot to ask.
Shouldn't it be how well equipped are the PS4/X1 to handle the Switch?
More like how well equipped is xbone to go against Pro and Switch. Its gonna be a bloodbath lol.
Switch is gonna sell like hotcakes. Nintendo better make sure they have stock ready for this holiday season
Very well equipped.
nintendo switch will still sell like crazy. the system is awsome
