Nintendo Switch fans could miss out on a new game coming to PS4 and Xbox One which is aiming to follow in the footsteps of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild & Horizon: Zero Dawn.
"Switch missing out on a game that is like the Legend of Zelda." Well...........it's a good thing that THEY HAVE the Legend of Zelda then....
Lmao, yea..had to do a double take on that title.
So does that mean the Switch is missing out on an open-world easy-puzzle game with weak combat elements and boring side quests? Yes... I played a game similar to that. Zelda BOTW. Was nowhere near as good as I was lead to believe. Did every single shrine. Got 120 or so seeds. The only fun combat was fighting all the different Lynels. Spent around 150 hours in the game. 8.5 out of 10... definitely NOT as glorious as people said it was. Definietly NOT goty.
lukferr we all know you did not play it so stop you sony fan boys are something else.
@ DEKUX12, I swear on my family's lives that I played it, and played it for a very very long time. Ask me anything. I could tell you about the blue flame. I could tell you about the hidden shrines. I could tell you about the frame rate dropping unbelievable LOW whenever you went to the Hidden Forrest area... made me sick and gave me headaches.
@lukferr Awesome to hear your opinion on BoTW, but i really don't know why you shared that with me or what that has to do with this article.
Beat me to it 😂😂😂
Exactly - what a moronic title for an article! :D
"Porsche owners to miss out on new Hyundai Porsche-style car."
Are you serious? This game looks really cool and takes aspects of Zelda and horizon zero dawn and their own unique aspects. Check out some videos of the game on YouTube. Anyhow you try to spin it about switch already having Zelda, switch is still missing out another cool looking promising new title. That’s is also a new IP.
You couldn't make this stuff up. I'm actually now thinking it must be written as ironic, surely? Meanwhile, Switch owners will be playing The Legend of Zelda: A Breath of the Wild...
Express always has ridiculous click bait articles.
The Legend of Zelda styled? Looks nothing like it. The developer just related it to the BotW because it's a good way of grabbing hype...relating it to a bigger hitter from this year.
That is one of the dumbest titles in history. "Nintendo to miss Zelda styled game" ..um Nintendo actually has you know...Zelda. What moron wrote this crap.
That's why I have a Pro and a Switch. I get Sony's exclusives and third party titles on it and Nintendo exclusives on the Switch. It's working great for me and the kids!
Does your wife know that you bought the Switch for yourself and simply said it's for the children?
I don't think she's figured it out yet LOL!
Perfect combo honestly. I haven't been big on Nintendo for years, but Switch is great and makes a perfect secondary console to PS4 Pro. I don't really care about having the best hardware, as long as the games I play are great. No need for a Xbone with these two.
I'm with you on Nintendo. I grew up on them but after the Gamecube I really stopped caring for them but the Switch has brought me back around.
I actually fell into the Wii hype. I'm really interested in the switch. I have a PS4 already which my backlog is rediculous.
I will make an article now: "PS4/Xbox owners to miss out on Legend of Zelda, will have to settle for crappier title instead"
And you know this title will be crappy based on?..
@Whiteblue You are the LAST person with the right to accuse others with that fanboy crack, especially after that third party statement earlier which completely ignores what the Switch IS getting from third parties and indies, just like every other PS and Micro fanboy with a Nintendo bone to pick.
let's just say I am making an "educated" guess. Let's see here.. BOTW, one of the highest rated games of all time up against an unknown developer and their title. I am just going to go out on a limb and guess which one is better. And if you read my comment, I never said the game will be crappy. I merely said it would be crappier in relation to BOTW.
PS4 owners can still settle for Horizon XO owners can settle for......Biomutant
Sooo, Horizon is settling, huh? Interesting.
The Witcher, Horizon, or Shadow of War, sir?
Dragons Dogma is worth mention, sir. Please excuse my exclusion?
Most likely. Despite Switch's sales success, and some third parties getting on board, it's still very up in the air whether third party software sales will be high on the system.
Except Indie Developers are breaking records on Switch Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 sales are success despite Namco undershipped units. Super Bomberman R, USFII: Final Challenger and many other games have sold between 100K-600K For Ubisoft Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle have sold near or pass 1 million for it to spark new application within the company and jobs. Disgaea 5 Complete sales being very strong. Japanese and Indies are being successful on the system. Ubisoft has got it's first success and now planning more. Bethesda stated they don't care much as long they get build a strong growing relationship with Nintendo and it's fans which they are. So the Switch has been getting success with third party. Many western third party developers/publishers just don't care about portable and that a fact.
I'm talking more along the lines of AAA titles that are available on other platforms like DOOM, Skyrim, and Wolfenstein. We've already seen how badly huge franchises like FIFA and NBA have done on the system. I'm not saying it's impossible; just very unlikely, based off of Nintendo's sales history with Western third party titles. It doesn't need to be said that these games will sell significantly better on competing consoles.
@DialgaMarine, Actually, we really haven't seen "how badly" FIFA and NBA have done on the system. All we know for FIFA is that 1% of physical sales were on the the Switch. That may seem like an abysmal number, but to put it into perspective, in Europe FIFA 15's sales on Vita were about 3% of total sales . . . And at the time the Vita had a larger install base there than the Switch does now. The sales aren't great but I imagine EA will release FIFA 19 on the Switch with more improvements made. As for NBA, it literally hasn't even physically launched on Switch yet. When Doom and Skyrim come out this holiday we'll have a better indicator of whether or not Switch owners are receptive of Western AAA games. Right now there's really not much info to go off of.
@DialgaMarine Here we go again with AAA third party games. AAA isn't important. What important is all developers seeing success no matter the budget. Bethesda already said Doom and Wolfenstein being on Switch has nothing to do with want to see how it sell. They said it on the system because they want to build a relationship with Nintendo and it's fans. They also said they have more games coming after. They aren't releasing just those three. Nintendo is publishing Skyrim also. Bethesda said that they will support any platform as long as their games can run on it. http://nintendoeverything.c...
@DJK1NG That's Bethesda though; they don't have anything to worry about if their games are a commercial failure on the Switch. Not every company is going to have that mentality. If they're going to take the time to make use of hardware, they're gonna want to make sure they're at least gonna get their money's worth; otherwise, they might just stick with the communities that they know are going to support their titles. Point is, Switch is simply a small bonus; third party companies can rely on PS/ XB/ PC communities, no problem. Also, if you're gonna defend Switch sales, Vita is not a good example because Vita suffered the same exact problems in talking about. Back when it was first announced, the hardware had amazing potential, and third parties claimed to be all about it. It had some pretty big names behind it, originally, but it was quickly abandoned after software sales went down the toilet.
Really reaching when you don’t even bother mentioning the games name, seems even the author knows nobody cares.
This game will expose those who hate Zelda Breath of the Wild despite never playing it and calling it on overrated if it get a lot of praise by them. Keeping my eyes on this game reviews when it posted on this site. Seats with crows will be handed out.
Am I the only one who thinks that Biomutant looks really bland as of now? Nothing really shown peaks my interest so far...
It's a cute concept but it's got a ways to go. IF it turns out to be decent, then I'll add it to my list of PS4 games to get down the road.
Meanwhile, it not only has actual Zelda, but also many Zelda-like games from indies to boot. I wouldn't mind it coming to Switch, but we aren't really missing out, here.XD
Good grief that headline is a mouthful.
Apparently Biomutant isn't that well known a title yet
Honestly this game reminds me more of Darksiders then Zelda, which is not a bad thing by no means. Besides they already have Zelda so.........what's the point of this article? Very weird comparison to make.
Everything can't be on the switch. I want the switch for smaller, indie games.
ohhh wellll!!! I guess Nintendo fans will have to settle for having to Play Legend of Zelda then... *sigh*... Poor Nintendo fans...
It’s missing out on a lot of stuff. Get used to it.
The game doesn’t even look that great...
And if you own a Switch + PS4 you won't give a [email protected]#k, because you'll be able to play it.
So now every open world game is a Zelda style game? GTA 6: BoTW
One thing missing when it comes to these Zelda clone is that Nintendo magic so if you ask me the Switch ain't missing out on shit
The game looks kind of crappy anyways so...
