Everybody's Golf was the best-selling title in Japan in September, according to the latest figures from Famitsu, beating Destiny 2 and PES 2018 to the top of the monthly charts.
Congrats Sony and Japan Studio !
It just goes to show how vastly different Japan is from other parts of the world. Where in the heck is FIFA 18 on that list?
FIFA 18 released worldwide on the 29th of September. It only has 2 days of sales to be tracked compared to the 4 weeks of Everybodys Golf and the 2 weeks of PES 2018.
@TheColbertinator "FIFA 18 released worldwide on the 29th of September. It only has 2 days of sales to be tracked compared to the 4 weeks of Everybodys Golf and the 2 weeks of PES 2018." Do you honestly think FIFA is going to outsell PES in Japan and when did Destiny 2 come out?
FIFA 18 in Japan? Moldy have you ever heard of Winning Eleven? The Japanese are smart gamers, they play good football games, not yearly legalised scripted gambling rehashes and all-flash-no-substance crap like FIFA.
Wow that's a surprise!
Not too me it isn't. I would prefer to play Everybody's Golf instead of Destiny 2 as well.
I forgot about this gem! Is it out in North America, too?
It is good fun but it has flaws. The grind is immense.
Hmmmm.....grind, you claim? I'm already stretched thin with Metal Gear Solid V's FOB and Mother Base commanding, Destiny 2, Persona 5, Witcher III, the Assassin's Creed: Black Flag sequel (whatever it's titled—not to mention Origins hitting soon), Deus Ex, Second Son, (also upcoming) Gran Turismo Sport, another play through of Horizon Zero Dawn (since I updated to a 4K OLED and PS4 Pro)... Well, you get the idea. Was kind of hoping Everybody's Golf could be a sit-back-and-relax kind of game.
Yeah, the grind is nuts. Having to level up 3 times, per each hidden character, (3 per course) is a bit of a ball breaker. Thankfully, the game is fun.
Well done and its deserves it too. It sure took a long time since the launch of the last Everybody's Golf game on Vita in Feb 2012 but going by its well received reviews and excellent €40 price point, it was worth the wait. ^_^
I'm going to pick up Everybody's Golf on friday. I liked Hot Shots and this looks like good fun for me and the wife.
