Capcom's recent World of Capcom panel reveals the company's plans for the future. Some information is old, but it's still impressive and promising.
Street Fighter is immortal :D the game franchise will never die ;)
I agree, it is their biggest franchise. And yet we are supposed to believe they couldnt afford to make SFV. Will they have similar financial woes when it comes to SFVI? Im actually curious about Deep Down.
The funny thing is I just submitted a post in which Marvel vs Capcom flopped. lol
Well, it did. But it's Capcom's fault for putting in only half the money put into SFV's DLC.
I just want a new devil may cry made by japanese devs
It will be. The dmc 3 dev has been hinting it or a dragons dogma sequel. Its one of them 2
I hope is devil may may cry, this gen has enough open world action rpg
And I want a DmC2.
Then pray for Bayonetta 3.
They need new leadership for fighting games.. They used to get the same amount of love and attention but now theyre just on the side
Must be fun to be delusional. Capcom was hanging by a financial thread not too long ago, and they certainly haven't been delivering any blockbusters.
I played Monster Hunter World at NYCC. Nothing delusional about what I've said.
SFV was handled absolutely atrociously plus took forever to sell, MVC:Infinite has been dragged through the wood shed, their refusal to treat the Switch correctly, mishandling of Mega Man and many classic franchises, etc. How is their future bright exactly?
At least they are bringing Resident Evil Collection to the Switch. But yeah I do agree that compare to other Japanese devs, their support for the Switch is pretty low.
Five words: Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. It's funny, It wasn't too long ago that Resident Evil was Capcom's worst and Street Fighter/MVC were their best, and now people are praising RE7 and screaming about SFV/MVC.
Well, you know what? I actually hope the future of Capcom looks bright and this isn't a PR puff piece, because I actually love Capcom and hope they only get better. I'm kind of tired of these PR/hype articles that really don't care about what they write about, only about the revenue they're getting.
That's the thing aside from the new resident evil game they did really poorly with their ip's. Street Fighter V I think hurt the brand more than it helped. I refused to buy it when i've bought all the other ones, it was just simply too bare bones. Marvel v Capcom is another travesty. DmC has been nowhere and hasn't gotten good PR either even though i liked the DMC game most ppl didn't. Deep Down is practically vaporware. Really, they haven't been doing too hot.
It isn't a puff piece. Capcom might be making some mistakes now, but it's fixing others. I enjoyed the Monster Hunter World demo immensely and feel it's going to do well. And we all know how Capcom did a 180 from Resident Evil 6, the worst in the franchise, and made Resident Evil 7, one of if not the best in the franchise.
SFV arcade edition was a smart move, hopefully it will get others like me back.
Bring back Ghouls & Ghosts, And other classic franchises:)
Capcom is not the same dev that it used to be :(
No game company is these days.
Street Fighter will be top even when we will play it in Augmented reality
Too bad they turned MvC into trash ..
Umbrella Corps. Enough said.
Resident Evil 7. Enough said.
I want Capcom to revive their other franchises like Onimusha, & Dino Crisis.
Oh freakin' yes.
Capcom has so many franchises they could make sooooo much out of, but the still rely on the same old things, how can a company that has onimusha, clock tower, dmc, okami, lost planet (seriously enjoyed the 1st and 2nd parts), rival schools, dino crisis, haunting ground, god hand and so so so much more, only rely on resident evil, street fighter and now monster hunter... SAD!!
You are right 100%.....so sad :(
