Sony's eighth generation home console, the PlayStation 4, has surpassed 25 million units sold in Europe, according to VGChartz estimates.
If VG charts say 25 millions it must be 30 millions. Well it will end the year with more 5 millions + sold.
Damn Sony with incredible sales
Now before some people downplaying or trolling. This is Europe territory, not worldwide. PS4 sold 60 million units in worldwide. PS4 sold 25 million units in Europe.
Obviously, it says so in the headline
Sony is supa hot fire
If this is real, then that's "true UK" "and " high fidelity" European sales right there.
Europe is a beastly territory for Sony, and they continue to make all the right moves to sustain popularity. Looking forward to Paris Games Week.
I wonder what they're going to show at Paris games week, I didn't even know they were going to be there this year. What I looked up showed October 30th as their press day
There was a lot of stuff shown at Paris Games Week 2015, and it just reminds me how stunning that year was for Sony in terms of newly announced games across the board: http://www.gameinformer.com... I would guess at something to be announced for Media Molecule & Dreams, Detroit: Become Human should get a release date, something new to show for WiLD from Michel Ancel. Gran Turismo Sport will definitely be there, and a bunch of cool indie game and PSVR game announcements should also be expected.
HOLY! That's a lot. They're completely dominating in that territory. They literally have almost as much PlayStation 4 sold in Europe alone than all Xbox One's worldwide. That's insane! PlayStation 4 is doing ridiculous numbers right now. Respect Sony. These guys are already on track to be the only company to ever sell 4 home consoles consecutively to surpass 85 million at the least. That is a ridiculously healthy base just unheard of in home consoles. They have not only set precedent as to what a Home console needs to be, they have far surpassed any record and now are the trend setters for how you release consoles consecutively back-to-back as successes. I mean you're doing something right if your worst selling console out of 4 is in the ballpark of 90 million. They've basically single-handedly created the Blue Book of how you create a successful Home console.
UK always supporting consoles better than the US. US step up your gaming!!
PAL regions have always had impressive sales with PlayStation consoles. Need another 20 million (in Europe) by the end of 2020
Well deserved! This year's lineup of exclusives has been fantastic
It's going to easily sell 25 million more, likely even more than that.
Then the real figure is 30m + as VG Chartz always underestimates PS4 sales. Nevertheless, what an achievement. Sony can only go from strength to strength if they carry on delivering games as they have been the last couple of years. Carry on!
