Wargaming technical director talks about how the PS4 Pro's various features ultimately shake out.
The Dragon's Dogma 2 game director has explained why there is no online co-op and why it was never explored as possibility.
fine with me, I play these kinda rpg's solo anyway. With co-op I always feel like I'm on a timer and can't explore everything I want to and take my time because I don't wanna make the other person wait.
The first game wasn’t co-op. Fans of the first game weren’t asking for co-op. You have pawns to make up your party so you can have full control playing solo.
Having at least one human buddy to join your game as your pawn would be dope, but I'm not complaining.
Director Miyazaki discusses the development and content of Elden Ring's upcoming Shadow of the Erdtree DLC.
An interview with the developers of Capcom's Dragon's Dogma 2 about how the sequel came to be and the ideas that went into its development.
Looking forward to it. Going to have to dodge and weave through any spoilers this week like a professional boxer.
Sure. When Dragon's Dogma 3 comes out, the same thing will be said about current gen.
I'm sure Space Invaders from the 80's had a vision to become Helldivers, but couldn't because of the technology at the time.
What a load of bulldung.
But it helps by how much? this is something new. The question is how much can it help. Should next gen GPU apply this.
What about a game engine built with this is mine?
We see more and more GPU with this FP16 and FP32 power levels on their specs. So this must be something for the future.
Everyone knows this. Mark Cerny was on that dust when he said you can use that to turn the GPU into 8 TFLOPS.

"One of the features appearing for the first time is the handling of 16-bit variables – it’s possible to perform two 16-bit operations at a time instead of one 32-bit operation. In other words, at full floats, we have 4.2 teraflops. With half-floats, it’s now double that, which is to say, 8.4 teraflops in 16-bit computation. This has the potential to radically increase performance." - Cerny
Cerny was braggin about it like it was adding a extra 4 TFLOPS to the console.
It was and still is a absolutely retarded statement.
Its like Microsoft's "cloud power" its all smoke and dust. All modern game engines are built with 32bit programming as assets in HD and Ultra HD would look like shit if you render them at 16bit. Now you could render certain things at a lower bit, but it would require specific optimizations for the respective device and if developers are barely taking advantage of mid-gen systems now how would this change with this solution? LOL
Ouch
So all the guys who go on and on about certain people in Xbox articles are here in a PS4 article, making more comments than anyone else, to say nothing more than disrespectful jabs about Mark Cerny and damage control. The irony is giving me an aneurysm.
