Many people will consider Project CARS 2 the best racing simulation game on the market. And you know what? It’s pretty hard to argue with them.
That's great. Competition breeds innovation.
PC2 looks great but as of now the AI are a mess. Also the frame rate drops sometimes. Especially in weather. I’m very sensitive to frame rate drops so it would likely drive me crazy. I may end up getting the game anyways or holding off and maybe getting a Nintendo Switch with MK8 Deluxe, and Super Mario Odyssey.
What are you playing it on, if I may ask. Not a fanboy thing. It would serve as a reference as I hear others talk about the game. I am in the process on moving to a different home right now and cant play any demos or test anything. Slightly mad had stated that their focus was on a steady 60fps on all platforms. So I am a bit surprised that you had a framerate drop issue with the game.
“What are you playing it on, if I may ask. Not a fanboy thing.” Don’t have the game yet. I’ve been watching people play on PS4 Pro. It has some screen tearing and some frame are drops from what I’ve seen. I think DF video also showed that.
@Bigpappy Digital Foundry and I think Team VVV suggest it's pretty solid in clear weather and maybe some drops at the start with a lot of cars up close, but weather can cause slowdown on all the console versions so far.
Project Cars and Assetto Corsa kept me interested in sim racers again.
Fantastic time to be a racing game fan. Also I like that Forza is rightfully the benchmark, Dan and his team have put in a lot of effort to make FM the series that it is.
Im playing in gtx 1080 and theres def fps drop on some tracks but game is great
Game looks great, will probably be picking this one up.
