Top 10 Wii U Games That Need to be Ported to Switch

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "The Nintendo Switch has been off to a tremendous start, especially when compared to its direct predecessor, the Wii U. That’s not to say that the Wii U didn’t have any great games to call its own, quite the opposite actually as the system featured some of Nintendo’s (and some third party’s) best games ever made so its only fitting that they follow the precedent set by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Pokkén Tournament DX and release even more deluxe versions of the some of the Wii U’s better and more compatible games. So as we eagerly await the Pokémon brawler to release on the Switch here’s a list of 10 other Wii U titles that will hopefully make the jump over to Nintendo’s newest console."

They seriously picked Hyrule warriors over Donkey Kong? Even with fire emblem warriors around the corner?

I thought it was a sensible move to push some Wii U games to the Switch to bulk up its launch library and help get people who skipped their last console to consider their new one instead. At this point, though, they have had time to build up some solid games and I really believe the Switch needs to stay the course on new releases to ensure it has its own identity.

To further that point, I'd rather they spend any amount of manpower/time they would have spent on a remaster/port on a brand new game for our Switch's instead. New IPs, preferably. For selfish reasons, I would prefer they stop porting for another reason: my Wii U barely has enough value as it is with the exclusives it managed to get before its untimely demise lol. Please don't dilute its value any further :-p

The fact I played BotW & MK8 - two of Switch's best games - on my Wii U ate into that value a bit. It also kind of devalues my Switch as well in a way. I know I'm in the minority - or at least will be in the minority shortly - of people who bought both a Wii U and Switch, but that's my thought process anyway.
