The Helios 300 variant with the Nvidia GTX 1060 and 15.6-inch Full HD display is currently available under $1050. Making it one of the cheapest laptop available in the market with a GTX 1060.
There you go: PC for $1000 cant match the X1X.
I feel like people frequently forget that PC's do things other than gaming. #Ignorance
Correction: A laptop for $1000 can't match the X1X. Laptops come with a price premium, and can't match desktops for performance potential.
well a desktop with a monitor is not much cheaper thn this laptop either with similar specs. u paying little extra for portability.
Except this comes with a built in monitor, and without the monitor this laptop would be like half the size of the Xbox one X. Also it has 16gb of ram in addition to the vram on the GPU, and a much more powerful CPU. It can't really do 4k, but it can do Destiny 2 60+ fps.
You have the best argument, with the screen which is about $250. But both the VRAM and system RAM are slower and cheaper. The CPU is 4 core , so I am not convinced that it can match or exceed the CPU in the X1X. You don't know that the X1X can't run D2 at 60fps. The X much more powerful than this laptop, no question there.
It's a 2.8GHz quad core i7, it's definitely faster than the CPU in the Xbox One X.
its way faster thn xbox's mobile jaguar, im not sure if u joking or just ignorant. its an i7 with 4 real cores unlike jaguar mobile.
It's CPU is alot faster than what the X1X has. It doesn't take much to beat a slightly modified Jaguar CPU.
@Bigpappy You all right? Those fanboys annoying you again? Just ignore them and you'll avoid saying such things after.
LOL. That's okay. If it is an i7 they have a point and that's my oversight. But in the Graphic they are advertising this as starting with an i3. So I assume the advertised lowball price of $1000 is for the i3. The overall Laptops is still very weak in comparison to the X1X though, even with an i7. Games will perform and dazzle much more on the X. I have been here a long time. I know how this works. I am just being a good sport while keeping them honest.
@BigPappy Its just a silly comparison. Gaming laptops are quite awesome for people like me who travel for business and consoles dont match their value. Apart from not being portable, consoles are much more cumbersome to take along even the 1S. Having a decent FHD or QHD monitor attached has no equivalent even from my desktops. Fanboys refer to the GPU of the One X in comparison to the laptop which in unfair for both. Laptops require cool spaces and as such are smaller to avoid overheating internal components but at increased prices. One X uses a Jaguar CPUbecause its cost effective for Microsoft. Tomato Tomatoe.
I can accept a good honest argument whether pro or con. I am fine with your argument. But I don't see the reason for belittling the X1X CPU before we even get a chance to see how games perform with it. It has been customized, let wait and see exactly what that translate to in upcoming games running on the system.
I own this laptop and it's pretty nice.
I am sure it does a decent job. But when they say: "if you want the very best quality, play the game on PC", I am sure this is NOT what they are referring to... at least I hope not.
It's a gaming laptop not a desktop PC with four 1080s in SLI. As for doing a decent job it actually does a great job at playing games and it destroys the PS4 and X1 where power is concerned.
