Why buy a console when you can build a powerful gaming PC?
In 2020 the sheer number of game streaming subscriptions makes you wonder where you should focus your energy and money. Are you are looking for a streaming subscription to satisfy your gaming needs? Well, we put together a table overview for you to peruse and possibly see which ones you might prefer, or see why some of these are now redundant services.
Sony just needs to up its resolution and framerate and it'll be quite the service, still don't like streaming though so doesn't really matter to me.
The only game streaming services are PS Now, Stadia and GeForce Now.
Xbox Game pass, Uplay plus and Origin aren’t streaming.

Sigh! here we go again.
Yes, you can build this but the builders conveniently forgot the operation system (Microsoft Windows 10 is not free although most Linux distributions are) as well as a "decent" keyboard and mouse*. Of course, the monitor is kind of important as well but hey we can always use the household TV (yeah right!).
* When I said "decent" keyboard and mouse any gamer would roll over with laughter at the mear mention of these devices costing a few dollars.
Wow a 1TB WD Blue when you really should consider a 120GB SSD (minimum) for your boot disk and a minimum 2TB (preferably a 3TB or 4TB) HDD. This will add a bit more to the overall cost but it is definitely worth it. The Microsft OS normally takes between 15GB and 40GB depending what you install.
The PC builder should also consider at least 16GB of DDR4 memory, not 8GB. Again this will add to the overall cost but it is definitely worth it.
Graphics cards can be a huge cost and as the article rightly pointed out the graphics card they mentioned (GTX 105) is only suitable for 1080p gaming so if you want 4K gaming you are going to pay considerably more not to mention the cost of a "decent" 4K monitor.
The problem with articles like this they do give the wrong idea about PC building. Sure you can build a "cheap" one but that is all it is "cheap". A decent gaming PC will cost in the order of $800 to $1000 USD with a budget monitor at the low end to thousands of dollars depending what you the gamer want/need.
Of course, you always have to keep in mind that the beast you build today will most likely be obsolete tomorrow when better components hit the market. 😊
