Atlus is to start publishing more games in Europe, according to Atlus USA’s senior PR manager Jacob Nahin.
'Nahin also said that several Atlus franchises have seen huge growth in Europe over the past year. “It’s been interesting to see the awareness of the Yakuza franchise and the IP as a whole grow. I feel like Yakuza 0 came out of nowhere for a lot of people, but we’ve seen the fandom and [user] base grow a little bit more with each title. We also published Persona 5 [in the US], which is still selling really well, and it definitely seems people are now more aware of the Persona franchise as well. It’s always had a strong following, but each time it does better. I think it’s a really interesting time for Japanese titles coming to the west.”' Great news!
Could Altus work on some Sega properties
That....would be.....A DREAM! Phantasy Star Space School! Be like "PS3" lol Dat teen angst.....in space.
Or better yet Sega should get Altus to make a Sonic RPG like how they got Bioware to make one
Let's hope that they'll also keep including the Japanese voices from now on. Until not that long again their games were mostly 'dub-only', which is a bit ridiculous considering their games cater to an audience that's usually into anime and/or Japanese culture and games, and often prefer an option for the original language.
Sega buying this team has done WONDERS for them. Atlus having publishing duties with the backing of Sega I think is a great combo. This was a respectable acquisition. "been interesting to see the awareness of the Yakuza franchise and the IP as a whole grow. I feel like Yakuza 0 came out of nowhere for a lot of people" I hope this means more Yakuza titles! I know 6 is coming, but I'd really, really....REALLY like for Ishin to come over to the west! Even if it was only as digital!
