Heartless Chaos - Agents of Mayhem Review | A 90s Kid

Volition returns to the open world format with their newest game, Agents of Mayhem. It borrows a bit of style from Saints Row, Crackdown, Grand Theft Auto, and Overwatch. It sounds like a winning formula to me, but does it hold up? Here's to hoping.

The story is too old to be commented.

Volition, go back to Red Faction!

Oh, that would be great to see. Perhaps they will.

With all due respect. I feel this score is very low.
This game is a solid 8. Even with repetition and its bugs, the game is fun to play, addicting and all the characters are great to use. They all serve a purpose. This is a mindless game for fun, something like Killing Floor 2. It has a mechanic to passively make money, It even has a meta-game where you send your inactive agents on missions abroad.
The anime style and the ACTUAL cartoons they have to introduce characters and mission events is awesome.
I don't have many complaints.

You're pretty spot on
It is a fun game and the characters are actually a blast to use
So many power ups and special abilities as well
It's challenging as well especially anything past lvl 10

I did go back and forth scoring this one. While I enjoyed it a bit, that's mainly due to my bias on Saints Row. I wouldve rated the game higher if the technical performance was up to snuff.

There's plenty of content, but a lot of it fell flat for me. I agree with you on the animation, though. Those scenes were great.
