Tekken is a renowned fighting series that was available only on consoles. But this year brought change. Tekken Mobile is announced for Smartphones.
Was super excited until I read that it is yet another tap-to-fight game, as they call it. Getting annoyed by this string of disappointments. Injustice, Mortal Kombat X, Injustice 2, and now Tekken. I bet even the new Street Fighter is a TTF! Probably not, hopefully. But I wouldn't be surprised. If it's about lacking precision on touchscreen controls as opposed to tactile ones, hence the oversimplification, then I can sort of understand that. But at the same time, I was able to hold my own on the original Street Fighter IV on iOS back in 2010 or so. I could do quarter-circle and Z-maneuvers with ease. Tactility is definitely a good thing when it comes to things that require precision, like fighting games for instance, but my experience with Street Fighter IV, and even Marvel vs Capcom 2, on iOS is proof that you can still enjoy a full fighter on the go, on a screen, without tactile controls.
Yes, it would've been much better if they had just added the joystick and buttons for the combos etc.
