One of the rumors that have gained force is the arrival of GameCube Games to the Virtual Console of Nintendo Switch.
Defiantly good move
Yup. I would love to play Super Mario Sunshine, MGS Twin Snakes, Star Fox Adventures, etc.
If this is true the switch is a must buy, came this close to buying Mario party 5 off of Amazon 3 days close.
Yeah they are totally being defiant! haha
Super smash bros melee on switch = hype
Baiten Katos 1 and 2 (unable to play it anywhere else, unless emulated) and Skies of Arcadia. I'd want the few RPGs that were released on the GC to be on the VC
Gamecube games support 16:9 so they would look great, especially in handheld mode!
Twin Snakes??? Custom Robo??? Oh please, give me Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
The gc has so many good games even though it did not sell that well. MKDD Mario sunshine as well as others people have out above. Hell ide kill for MKDD to have a mp mode to.
Paper Mario! Eternal Darkness, Tales of Symphonia, Rogue Squadron...the Gamecube was a fantastic console.
mario sunshine, mario kart double dash, animal crossing and smash would make me so happy
So how is this going to work without the analog triggers? Maybe they'll release a controller for VC? It wouldn't need motion or the IR sensor. Just a normal controller with analog triggers.
Perhaps with games that have analog shoulder controls, could potentially implement using the gyro function of the joycons? Use motion to signify level of pressure by holding the button and tilting the controller up or down slightly.
I mean that could work, but it really depends on the games. Using that mechanic constantly for a racing game would tire out your wrists fast, for example. I guess we'll see though.
Okay by me
Wouldn't mind seeing Sonic Gems Collection.
They should bring back the Mega Man collection on the GCN so people can see how much of a joke the lastest MM collection is. But yeah Sonic Gems should make a return.
The Megaman X collection was amazing.
Gamecube was and is for me one of the best nintendo consoles EVER check out some games below that is a reason to own switch FZERO GX (from daytona creators) Beachspikers (a sega gem) Zelda windwaker Mario sunshine Soulcalibur 2 with link! Waveracer (my favorite wr) Starfox adventures (rare last good game) Metal gear twin snakes (collectible) Metroid prime and echoes (awesomeness) Viewtiful joe (capcoms masterpiece) Eternal darkness And one of the best star wars ever created.... Star WARS ROGUE SQUADRON 2+3
Eternal Darkness please!
Yes to this
Hurry up already! I'm getting bored and fidgety, give me VC, tons of games, and add some gd apps already! Seriously what are they doing over in Nintendoland? Watch, we'll get like 5 NES games, then a drip feed.
Me want Chibi Robo.
Phantasy star online please. Can't believe I'm the only one saying this.
Fans have kept it online on the Dreamcast. You can still play it online.
But Switch doesn't have analog triggers. Gonna make certain games hard to emulate
Just another peripheral for Nintendo to sell so :/
Oh god I wouldn't be surprised if that were true.
If they make Gamecube games a part of the selection of downloadable titles later on next year when things go paid subscription, they are going to have a LOT of money coming in, with the right titles on it...
They'll probably be some kind of stupid price like $30 or something.
I doubt it. They sold Wii games on the Wii U for 19.99. Following their current model, NES games 4.99, SNES 7.99, N64 9.99, and Wii 19.99...Gamecube games will probably be 14.99.
Id worry about getting virtual console up and running before i started demanding gamecube games... Hell, how this basic feature is still missing boggles my mind. I know most of you nintendo enthusiast on this site dont agree with most of my comments but many of you at least can agree with me that the switch shouldnt have launched without vc and online mp day one! Those 2 missing features alone makes me think the switch was rushed and would have had a much more kickass release had it been fall 2017.
Eternal Darkness and Skies Of Arcadia Legends please!
Imagine the Switch a year from now. Manufacturing problems have been solved, Pokemon, Monster Hunter and Mario are playable, and it's also a portable Nintendo 64 and Gamecube machine (Hopefully). If Nintendo does well by us (fans and consumers), they're going to hit it out of the park.
