I'm trying to "go dark" on Odyssey news right now, so that I'll be surprised with it once October rolls around, but Samus Returns and Xenoblade 2 I just can't skip on watching despite not wanting to be spoiled...

Hopefully a release date for Xenoblade 2 will be announced since it's the last game in the 2017 line-up that doesn't have a release date yet.

A December release would be great. Have Mario O come out in October, Skyrim in November, and Xenoblade in December and Nintendo is all set.

December would be a very good time to launch. If they aim for a November release they run the risk of having it release too close to a major title which will only damages the games sales.

Xenoblade 2 isn't a major seller and it needs all the help it can get to avoid what nearly happened to Fire Emblem before Awakening.

But will they actually give a release date for XBC2. End of the year is very crowded right now and holiday season will be here quicker than you think.

Nintendo said there are more titles that are unannounced but are releasing in 2017, so maybe we'll get some surprise reveals out of this? That or at least an August Direct since it's cutting it pretty close to the end of 2017 as is.
