The fighting game from Nintendo - Arms - sold 418,483 units first week at retail, according to VGChartz estimates.
Successful in my eyes.
In my arms
Yeah it did great that means it sold over 700K the rest of June to reach 1.18 million
Epic to of gone over a mill! I enjoyed it but i'm not about fighting games other than Smash bros, get bored quick... Traded it an got like nearly all my money back 🙂
it gets deeper the longer you play, in the beginning everyone was fighting similar, than you start to see new ways of fighting to attack your opponent, now there are some really good high level players, i had to adjust to every different technique and some I still have trouble with, 115 hours in and I can proudly say the people online are pretty good compare to what I played against in the first 2 weeks
So according to you sold and shipped is same.
Haha aint that ironic coming from you. Who always brags about Sony shipped numbers.
That 1.18 million is sold, not shipped.
Glad to see Nintendo players buying new IPs
Let's see Arms will have legs
I see the game having strong legs selling a decent amount for a couple of years.
hope so, it get updates for a year like splatoon so I hope the added content give us a really solid game.....from 1 to 10, I give the game a solid 9 for first in a franchise, and Im a fighting game fan........how they improve on it from here will tell us how good it can be, for example Street Fighter 4 is probably the best well rounded fighting ever made in my opinion, I love the arcade edition. Arms need a few more balancing, Helix need to be nerf a little, if you know how to use him, he can be hard to beat with his body stretching https://www.youtube.com/wat... he is one of the best with Helix, I played against him in the tournament in 1st round and he wreck me, I never seen anyone use him that way before i cant remember what else need a little balancing, I wrote it down the other day, but despite, its still solid game
Not surprising. It was going to be a niche game. Nintendo needs to step it up so far the only good games on the Switch are Wii U games...
ARMS has already sold more than 1 million copies to date, which is great for a new IP on an install base of 4.7 million. Also, it's got a 77 in Metacritic, so for the critics this game is at least decent. Seeing how it's going to get free content all year (fighters, arms and stages), it will only get better. Just like Driveclub, which was a much better game at the end than it was at launch thanks to all the free content added. Or like the first Splatoon.. Also, Splatoon 2 just released and it's fantastic and it's not a Wii U game.
Really hoping it drops to around $40 at some point.
Nintendo games don't drop in price sadly
Which is a shame, certain titles need it. I bought Splatoon 2, but I can't justify paying $60 for Arms despite my curiosity.
It get free updates for a year to keep adding to it, so I doubt it drop any time soon, maybe after the last downloadable content but even then most Nintendo games don't usually get discount until after 4 or 5 years with the Nintendo classic line where the game prices drop
Nintendo reported its total sales after 1 month is over 1 million.
