Epic to of gone over a mill! I enjoyed it but i'm not about fighting games other than Smash bros, get bored quick... Traded it an got like nearly all my money back 🙂

it gets deeper the longer you play, in the beginning everyone was fighting similar, than you start to see new ways of fighting to attack your opponent, now there are some really good high level players, i had to adjust to every different technique and some I still have trouble with, 115 hours in and I can proudly say the people online are pretty good compare to what I played against in the first 2 weeks

So according to you sold and shipped is same.

Haha aint that ironic coming from you. Who always brags about Sony shipped numbers.

septemberindecember2451d ago

That 1.18 million is sold, not shipped.

Glad to see Nintendo players buying new IPs

I see the game having strong legs selling a decent amount for a couple of years.

hope so, it get updates for a year like splatoon so I hope the added content give us a really solid game.....from 1 to 10, I give the game a solid 9 for first in a franchise, and Im a fighting game fan........how they improve on it from here will tell us how good it can be, for example Street Fighter 4 is probably the best well rounded fighting ever made in my opinion, I love the arcade edition.

Arms need a few more balancing, Helix need to be nerf a little, if you know how to use him, he can be hard to beat with his body stretching

he is one of the best with Helix, I played against him in the tournament in 1st round and he wreck me, I never seen anyone use him that way before

i cant remember what else need a little balancing, I wrote it down the other day, but despite, its still solid game

CrimsonWing692452d ago

Not surprising. It was going to be a niche game. Nintendo needs to step it up so far the only good games on the Switch are Wii U games...

ARMS has already sold more than 1 million copies to date, which is great for a new IP on an install base of 4.7 million.

Also, it's got a 77 in Metacritic, so for the critics this game is at least decent. Seeing how it's going to get free content all year (fighters, arms and stages), it will only get better. Just like Driveclub, which was a much better game at the end than it was at launch thanks to all the free content added. Or like the first Splatoon..

Also, Splatoon 2 just released and it's fantastic and it's not a Wii U game.

Nintendo Select: 5 Switch Games That Deserve A Second Chance

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "The Nintendo Switch has been one Nintendo’s most successful systems ever, both measured by the number of units sold and the quality of its titles, but if there’s one thing this generation has been missing it would have to be the Nintendo Selects line, bringing existing titles that had paid their dues back at bargain prices. With the Switch now entering its twilight years, and there being few new titles in store for the foreseeable future, what better time could there be to bring back this tried-and-true tradition? While the actual realization of it may be doubtful given how rigid both hardware and software prices have become in recent years, that only gives us all the more reason to dream up a hypothetical lineup of our own.

For this article the specific focus will not be on those massive multi-million evergreens that the lineup would no doubt contain a few of to cement its value, but instead on games that for one reason or another fell short of their full potential the first time around and deserve a second chance to reach more players at an affordable price. Let’s get started."

I really want Xenoblade Chronicles X on the Switch, can't believe that hasen't been ported. I'm playing Skyward Sword at the moment and I'm almost finished, but it's so long and the controls are so bad, even without motion. Astral Chain is fantastic though, they should make a sequel.

A bunch of Nintendo Switch games just got the same patch, but no one’s quite sure why

ARMS has received its first update in five years, but we'd prefer if it got a sequel

I got the same for Splatoon 2. Nintendo's release notes should be more detailed. Interesting.
