Archangel: PSVR Gameplay Video

Skewed and Reviewed have posted some gameplay from the new PSVR game Archangel. The game pits players against an army of ruthless enemies as they fight back with a giant mech.

For their first outing, the team actually did a great job in many areas. Not a perfect game. Maybe not a game worth $39.99 but I understand production costs, but what's there definitely shows they have the fundamentals down.

The graphics and voice acting(needs lip sync though) are pretty good compared to current release games like Far point. The sound is great but could use more "ummph" on machine gun fire. Could be muted because you're inside the mech. But still could be more meaty. And enemies could put more effort and have more variety. Maybe they do on harder modes. I'll have to jump back in.

Overall, I liked it. Once I actually got the controls down, I felt powerful blocking shots with my shields and returning fire. Without giving away story, I do wish the enemy had stolen the plans and you got to fight an evil Archangel. The last boss was cool though. But definitely getting closer to that feeling of what it'd be like piloting a gundam or meganite(RAD).

Hope to see more from skydance. 7/10

You should see their PC team shooter. Saw this at SDCC, we actually made it our first appointment on day one, and liked it and they were on the spot with review material right after it so was impressed with how well they were setup for the demo and review process. Other companies could learn a thing from them. They had us in and out and were mindful of our time and offered more time and interviews if needed but understood that I had to get to other meetings.

Definitely the most impressive visuals I've seen in PSVR.

I wish they had multiplayer but perhaps it can be added later.

PSVR - relevant from 2016-2017

fr0sty2451d ago (Edited 2451d ago )

It's far more relevant now than it was at launch, so your foolish prediction is far from coming true.

The fact that units still cannot meet demand is a big indicator.

More units available to meet demand and bigger and better titles in the way. So...m

Archangel - PC / VR Review | Chalgyr's Game Room

Chalgyr's Game Room writes:

Archangel is a slick, entertaining action game that is relatively easy to pick up and play. The premise is fun and familiar, making it approachable if not perhaps particularly original. Still, it presents some of the sharper visuals in VR to date, and is a welcome port of the popular PlayStation VR game.
