Final Fantasy VII Remake and Kingdom Hearts III Director Tetsuya Nomura talks about the challenges and advantages of working on both games at the same time.
I really hope we can get the first episode of FFVII Remake in 2018. I still think it's kind of detrimental to have this man directing both major titles at the same time.
Hopefully this means KH 3 is wrapping up and FULL effort to be put on FF Remake.
I really don't. He almost fucked up ff15. They had to take him off the project cuz he was making a mess of it.
.....he made the concept of FFXV He was taken off to work on KH3 as FFXV was already almost done anyway. The fact that he was even directing 3 of the most significant projects at Square is pretty big. Can you name 1 director right know that was at one point working on 3 AAA titles?
@ jugo Square Enix took Nomura off of FFXV so he could devote more time to producing KH3 and eventually FFVIIR. One man can only handle so many major projects at a time.
yah doubt that. After hearing that he wanted to turn ff15 into a musical...I lost all hope in his ability. SE probably thought the same
You really underestimate his talent. Yes he wanted to do that, but those plans didn't go far. The entire time Nomura was working on FFXV he also worked on multiple KH projects the same time. He was able to keep an entire series relevant while also laying the groundwork for the next mainline installment in his company's most important franchise. You can't find any other director who can multitask like that. You really seem to be underselling Nomura's involvement with FFXV since he stayed on board co-directing the game with Tabata until Sept 2014
