IGN: PS3 Game of the Month: September 2008

Fans have been chomping at the bit for WipEout HD to hit the PlayStation 3 for a long time now, but the final experience has proven to be well worth the wait. Acting as something of a "best of" of the PSP releases, WipEout HD is more than just a repackaging - it's an immensely polished, completely refined racing experience that gives fans exactly what they've been waiting years for. The controls are spot-on, the track design is excellent, and it's challenging enough that you won't be able to finish it overnight. Even though it's a PSN download priced at $20, IGN could have paid $60 to get it on a Blu-ray disc and been just as happy, and that's saying a lot.
