Final Fantasy: Echoes of Time coming to Wii, DS

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers may be lost in the Square Enix vaults for now, but that isn't stopping the company from creating original Final Fantasy titles for the Wii and DS. That's right - Square Enix has revealed in the newest issue of Shonen Jump that Final Fantasy: Echoes of Time will be launching for the Wii/DS next year in Japan...

Awesome I really liked Rings of Fate so I know the Crystal Chronicles series can get a good thing going. It's being made for both Wii and DS so like the stroy says there could be connection between the two :)

Still waiting on Crystal Bearers though >:-(

Voiceofreason3523d ago

It looks like the connection is set. The Article talks about being able to play them game on Wii or Ds and play online with other Wii or Ds owners. I am kinda shocked though. All these yers they have been up Sony's backside, one would think this would have been done already. Just odd to see a 3rd party doing something that the console makers themselves arent doing.

That's true. Just like how Sega is finally making a game that uses Pico Chat...

Exactly.2009 looks like a good year for the Wii.If a Zelda or a Kid Icarus game come out next year,I think Nintendo can wrap up this gen by 2010 with Mario.

juuken3523d ago

I haven't played a Mario game in years. x(
Can't wait to get my Wii.

Super Mario Galaxy is one of the best games this gen.Its a must buy.

what about the crystal bearers what's up with that i still want that one it looked good

Smacktard3523d ago

Looks pretty lame, man. Interesting idea, but it looks like it's gonna be bad execution. But I don't like the Final Fantasy series at all, so...

Voiceofreason3523d ago

Yeah... It's total flop.. All the proof you need is in the article....< sarcasm.. They just announced it so STFU and give them time to even show a screen shot or something.. SAying it looks like it will fail the day its announced with little to no info for the game makes you look really stupid

Mahr3523d ago

By that token, isn't it equally silly to say things like "looks like it's going to be awesome"?

Isn't it a little silly to get all riled up and tell people to "STFU" over how they feel something currently *looks*?

In all honesty, though, if someone doesn't like the other dozen plus Final Fantasy games, I find it difficult to imagine them being won over by a new entry, no matter how good it is.

Voiceofreason3523d ago (Edited 3523d ago )

Not at all, I am not screaming STFU at them. Just saying it in a conversation. What you fail at is that someones tone does not carry over into text. Keep that in mind when you read and just dont assume. That aside, I would tell anyone that regardless of their love for a franchise or not. Not all Ff games are the same for one. Two we know almost nothing about it beyond a tiny bit. My point was, that isnt enough info to make any kind of informed decision about the game. Example. My first thoughts on Heavy Rain are it's a very crappy game. That was after pics, video and a few hands on interviews. I didnt run here the very second I found out it was a "no lose" casual game and start saying " it completely sucks", or saying it looks like it will fail before we even see anything about the game.. That would be completely stupid of anyone to do to any game, but thats exactly what this guy did. Lastly I at no point said the game would be awesome, so no point in you even trying to bring that in here. Next time try to reply to what I actually said, not what you wanted me to have said to try to prove your point. A point you failed miserable at.

"Not at all, I am not screaming STFU at them. Just saying it in a conversation."

Um, I never said you were screaming. My exact phrase was you "told him" something. My point is that telling someone to shut up is a highly disrespectful thing to say in the first place. Your tone has absolutely nothing to do with anything.

"What you fail at is that someones tone does not carry over into text. Keep that in mind when you read and just dont assume."

I'm not assuming anything. Please stop trying to put words in my mouth.

"That aside, I would tell anyone that regardless of their love for a franchise or not."

And it would still be highly disrespectful, which would undermine any point you try to get across.

"My point was, that isnt enough info to make any kind of informed decision about the game."

The only information really available is that it's a Final Fantasy game. If one does not like Final Fantasy games, then it is unlikely that, based off the information available, they will like that game, because regardless of what you say, while each and everey Final Fantasy game may not be exactly the same, they do share *many* similarities.

"Lastly I at no point said the game would be awesome, so no point in you even trying to bring that in here."

I never said you did. Please point me to where I said anything of the sort.

In actuality, I was referring to the fact that other people in this topic are saying it, and you didn't say "saying so makes you look like an idiot" to any of them.

"Next time try to reply to what I actually said, not what you wanted me to have said to try to prove your point."

I replied to what you said and how you behaved. You have very clearly chosen to not extend that same courtesy to me.

"A point you failed miserable at."

My point was that you have chosen to express yourself in an exceedingly immature, infantile fashion over something as trivial as how a game *looks*. Name-calling, telling people to shut up, and so on are incredibly childish things to do.

And I'm sorry, but your continued behavior has done nothing to convince me otherwise.
