It felt like the developers, execs and other talking heads at E3 2017 could barely make it through a sentence without making mention of 4K gaming. Between the continuing push for the PlayStation 4 Pro and the newly-unveiled Xbox One X, ultra-HD games were very much on everybody’s mind.
The only company not hyping up 4K was Nintendo, because, well, they don’t have a 4K-capable system. The Nintendo Switch can do 1080p, but 4K simply isn’t possible on the system.
Bandai Namco just released a free demo of its upcoming anime JRPG Sand Land for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PC ahead of the game's release.
The game was on my radar anyway but now I almost feel obligated to buy it after what happened. I will definitely check the demo out.
I wasn't a fan of the demo just a open world combat demo no story I'm sure the full game story will be good.
Got an Xbox and a Game Pass subscription and want something spooky to play? Here are the best horror games on Xbox Game Pass.
Balatro has proven popular since it launched in February, and has taken no time at all to reach a huge milestone for any indie game.
Too true Nintendo
The appeal of something is decided by the market, it would be so easy if the developers could decide what's appealing and what's not... That said, I agree we are not there yet; only 10 % of Americans have a 4K Tv even less in the rest of the world (probably this numbers will grow in the next few years)... And in my case: yeah I need more than "it can do 4K" to buy one. But I'm old, grew up with NES, and SNES, so all graphics this days kind of look fine to me
I think theyre gunna stick to Switch for the next 10 years maybe we'll get a 4k dock or something.
So the appeal is at 514p-720p no AA? That must be why PS4 and XB1 have 100 million sold, right Ninty?
In two years when PS5 launches and leaves Switch in the dust again, 4K will be "too limited" once again.
Asking Nintendo about technology is like asking a squirrel to do math.
