"Titanfall 2 currently features dynamic 4K resolution support for the PS4 Pro but the resolution is capped at 1440p on the PS4 Pro while looks like it will feature upto 2160p resolution on the Xbox One X"

Nice!

But give me stable 60fps!!! Mind you..wouldnt be fair against normal X1 players. But still!

Kingthrash3602498d ago

No matter how you slice it pimp....its dynamic 4k vs slightly improved dynamic 4k ...neither are native 4k.
The real question here is the slightly better dynamic 4k worth the extra 100 bucks??
You were the main guy saying "unleash the beastttt" and "true 4k"...I figured you'd be disappointed, but naw you are one of the many who do PR for all the lies Phil and company has said. Smh.
BUT awesome I'm glad to see its getting support.

uptownsoul2498d ago (Edited 2498d ago )

I was just about to ask if Xbox One X's resolution native 2160p or dynamic...I guess U answered that for me.

@Kingtrash360... It was never about True 4K. It was about having a better rez than the competition (which is exactly what it was about when the shoe was on the other foot).

BOTH sides are guilty.

THE BIG DIFFERENCE IS: The people now have to justify the higher price whereas the beginning of the gen the power & price were both on the same side

"Titanfall 2 will support Xbox One X. This means 4K resolution for increased fidelity as well as support for dynamic super scaling."

Is dynamic super scaling the same as dynamic resolution? And 1440p is not 4k but 2160p is so how can something that is 2160p be considered dynamic resolution? I thought anything below 2160p is considered not native and therefore at the mercy of things like checkerboard upscaling.

All that can be determined for now is one platform is able to produce more 2160p support than the other.

"I figured you'd be disappointed, but naw you are one of the many who do PR for all the lies Phil and company has said. Smh. "

Lol! Please get your "concern" out of here. Pro is capped at 1440p. Go worry about the resolution for that.

"Titanfall 2 currently features dynamic 4K resolution support for the PS4 Pro but the resolution is capped at 1440p on the PS4 Pro while looks like it will feature upto 2160p resolution on the Xbox One X"

Is the Xbox One X's resolution going to be native or no?

demonddel2497d ago

Native most of the times

blest2497d ago

@septic it literally says that no where in the article

XiNatsuDragnel2498d ago

Nope dynamic on multiplats greatness

itsmebryan2497d ago

Is it that you can't afford it? Because the price is no big deal. For me being under $600 made it a no brainier. Because when I trade in my X1 the price comes down to about$400 the same price as the PS4 pro with much more power. Plus I don't have to the usual $1100+ at console launch because I already have games to play on it and I don't have to buy new accessories because the ones I have already work. X1X is really a great deal and will be the cheapest console launch ever for me.

Kingthrash3602498d ago

Yeah. ...M's has said true 4k means
Native
Dynamic
Checkerboard
Upscale
So if it uses any of these then it's "true 4k"
Something that the pro has been doing all along.

ElementX2497d ago

I think people misunderstand what was said. The X can output at 4k and that includes native, dynamic, checkerboard, and upscaling, in addition to true 4k.

LoveForGames2497d ago

@ElementX so can the ps4 pro...

ElementX2497d ago

I never said Pro couldn't. I was responding to the statement that true 4k means all of those other things.

KingKionic 2498d ago (Edited 2498d ago )

Great. I hope they support the original titanfall 1 as well.

This is very positive to see even Respawn entertainment giving Xbox one x support.

Neonridr2498d ago

This article doesn't say anything about dynamic resolution on the Xbox One X. People are misreading the Dynamic Super Scaling as Dynamic Resolution, which is incorrect as they aren't the same thing.

Kingthrash3602498d ago (Edited 2498d ago )

What is it then?
Sure dose t sound like native.

Neonridr2497d ago (Edited 2497d ago )

It only mentions what is currently available for the PS4 Pro in terms of resolution. All it says is that the Pro is capped at 1440p while the One X can go as high as 2160p. I am not saying that the One X may not employ a dynamic resolution in the end, only that the article specifically mentions nothing concrete for the One X. And the term Dynamic Super Scaling seems to benefit owners of non-4K displays as it is a method of supersampling in which it takes up to 4K resolution and then downsamples to the regular resolution of the output display, thus improving overall sharpness and image clarity.

Never say never, I really didn't expect to ever see Space Marine 2 and 12 years later its almost here.
So there is still hope for all these games.

Chocoburger73d ago

I've completed 5 of the games on the list, but the author forgot to include Advent Rising. It was supposed to be a trilogy, but it bombed hard, and the two sequels never got made. It was Mass Effect, a console generation before Mass Effect.

The game is buggy and unpolished, it needed a few more months of development, but the potential was there. At the end of the game, you have all these super abilities, I remember the stomp attack that created a shockwave being especially powerful.

shinoff218373d ago

I personally think days gone will recieve some sort of sequel at some point. I'm personally also hoping it's not the rumored multiplayer online stuff. I'd think most that enjoyed it would rather thisnto.

Knightofelemia73d ago

Sony needs to dust off Sly Cooper and Days Gone so needs a sequel two of my favorite Sony titles. Bulletstorm I love great game wish it also got a sequel. And I wish Namco would finally give Enslaved a sequel another great game.

Titanfall 2 Gets "???" New Mystery Mode Years After Release

A new Titanfall 2 mystery game mode called "???" added by Respawn has players buzzing with anticipation since it seems to hint at something.

Inverno217d ago

Apex mode where it deletes Titanfall 2 and turns it in to Apex so your last hopes of a sequel will be crushed for good.

raWfodog216d ago

LOL!! That’s exactly what they did. I’ve never played Apex. Is it good? It doesn’t look better than TF2 to me.

FinalFantasyFanatic216d ago

It's about par with any other team based shooter like Valorant or Fortnite, it's probably more of a mix of Valorant and PUBG if you want to know what game play is like. I'd rather have Titanfall 2 though, it's more fun for me than battle royale games.
