Gamedaily writes: "Like the original, Dance Dance Revolution Hottest Party 2 for Wii follows the series' classic fomula with a wide selection of modes, songs, and dance moves. Unfortunately, it's a few steps from hot and not enough steps ahead to be considered a true sequel.
In the package, players gets a dance pad that plugs right into the Wii, accurately reading your foot presses. You''ll use the Wii remote and Nunchuk to track hand moves and deal with occasional "wild cards" that require your attention, such as missiles and bonus arrows. Although the game plays well, it looks like the previous one. Most of the dance venues look the same, and the available characters are unappealing. To spice it up, you can stick the head of one of your Miis onto a character, but they look oddly disjointed. At least the arrow readouts are easy to read, no matter how many players participate in a match."
