Today, during the CEO 2017 livestream, CEO Founder Alex Jebailey made an announcement on behalf of the Killer Instinct development team.
Killer Instinct on Steam is a welcome addition. MS should continue to bring more games to Steam as they did with Quantum Break.
No they shouldn't they should make their store better and forget this site period .
@MegamanXXX not as salty as King salt at Valve.
@JonnS The problem is Microsoft isn't improving their store fast enough. Barebones social features, update issues, poorly optimized launches, and rarely seen discounts. I have no problem with paying Microsoft for their games, they just need to fix their store sooner rather than later before making Windows 11.
The more people that stay from that godawful Windows 10 store the better. Steam will always be better. Deal with it.
@BlaqMagig I do deal with it don't support the garbage store or care for it massively heavy fool owner . Here's hoping to it go I ng by the waist sid of obsecureded.
PLEASE let them do this for Gears Of War 4 now, and Gears:UE.
Why not just buy them now on the Win10 store?
Cuz it's still pretty bad with a small pool of actual players.
@gameboycolor Pretty sure gears 4 is cross play. Not sure on UE.
It is crossplay for most PvP modes, and now has a toggle for ranked so X1 players can opt-in/out. I rather not be reported by hostile X1 players in other modes that don't have the crossplay toggle though, because they're mad at TC for forcing them to play with us PC players. It'd also be more fun to be on an even playing field across the board, since it is a shooter. I use gamepad regardless, but it'd be alot more fun with a bigger PC playerbase. Also, UWP is just atrocious and causes all sorts of issues, ontop of Shadowplay not working out-the-box and having to turn Desktop Mode on/off each time I play. Saving snapshots don't work at all with Shadowplay since you have to tab out to use the shortcut keys to save vid/pics when in the forced Desktop Mode. UWP is trash, it'd be way better on Steam, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was even atleast a small performance boost.
Why must MS continue show support for that tubby POS site , they should leave him rot and concentrate on their Store . Make W10 better and so good that his store is no longer relevant .
You're a weirdo. The Windows Store has been around for 5+ years and still can't get purchasing/downloading/install ing/updating/ownership rights done correctly. Those are the base fundamentals of any storefront. The smallest of storefronts do this without issue, yet the OS maker can't get it right 5 years post-launch with their own storefront. That's beyond sad. I tried for 3+ days to pre-install Gears 4, the game launched at 73.33GB, a huge file. It kept stopping at the full download, erroring out, and immediately restarting the download. 500+GB and 3 days later I found a reddit article about this very same issue with other UWP games that was a few months old. The answer was to download a tool called "Fiddler", use it to grab the URL link the Windows Store uses to download the game/app, then paste that link in your browser, download it, and MANUALLY INSTALL IT THROUGH POWERSHELL. That worked the very 1st try. Not to mention, the first day of preload of Gears 4, MS put a Windows 10 update out that was suppose to fix that very issue of purchasing - downloading - installing apps/games. I updated all that stuff before trying to get Gears 4 the first time, AND IT DIDN'T WORK! The same issue was had with many others. I assume most others just got a refund before ever even getting the game installed. You can't expect people to jump through such hoops just to get a game installed. Completely ridiculous.
Kinks that need working out , very Understandable . My discord is with them having to support that site , rather the support GOG instead of steam
the problem is MS's own stubbornness on this matter. the Windows Store is clearly designed for mobile. it looks too much like Apple app store and Google Play Store and from their experience with the bad acceptance of the Metro UI in Win 8, they should have known better that mobile UI won't take off on PC and it looks crappy at best! if they are really into PC gaming and want the Windows Store to be taken more seriously, they should scrap the current design and make it into a more PC-friendly design.
Since MS is so Pro-Gamers they could bring this game to PS4. It'd sell a lot, you know..
I think its a f2p, right? So it doesn't sell, but profits off micros. I could be completely wrong.
You have to pay for the characters.
Not exactly f2p
They have a new Role model in Jim Ryan , so no deal those investors are important ...lol ( side note Hell NO )
Popcorn, are u ready to be eaten?
I just want direct input support and crossplay with the console players
KI does have crossplay.
Yea, but it's not yet clear if it'll have crossplay for the Steam version.
Cool, I bought this on the Windows Store when it first came out. It honestly works fine but I'd rather play it through Steam.
