"And I was sitting with my son and I didn't even tell him what the box was. He turns to me within five minutes and he's like, "Dad, what's happening with this box? Why is it running faster? Why does my game look different and better overall? And I said, "Well, I can't tell you right now, son. But--"

Sounds like something I would see on a tv commercial.

Yeah but on a more serious note his answer on the absence of big AAA 1st party exclusive at E3 was horrible -imo. I mean he talked about Halo and Gears still being important, he talked about showing every kind of game, trips around the world, indies, blah, blah, blah but how in the hell does that STOP you from showing what the majority of your fanbase wants to see???.... You didnt have enough time???...Uhm cut the damm AC Origins gameplay, Ubi has plenty of time to show that anyway and btw news flash I'm a huge Halo and Gears fan but I don't want to see either one of those games for a couple year, HELLOOOOO IS ANYBODY HOME, we are screaming for some NEW AAA IP's.

Hate these interviews too when they don't follow up a silly answer with a solid question that they know we're all thinking because it's in ALL the comments on gaming forums.

Microsoft is one of the richest companies on earth. It's ridiculous that they can't put any of that money towards opening new studios and starting new franchises. They can drop over a Billion on Minecraft though.

thekhurg2498d ago

MIcrosoft has tons money, the Xbox division doesn't have access to all of that...

Dude said conscious and consciously like 9 times in that garbage answer.

On a serious note, Microsoft's exclusives problem is actually several separate issues. One is sheep. There are way too many in this world. Two, Sony fanboys, they have way too much influence over the sheep. Three, the Sony fanboys have too much influence over Microsoft.

If I were Microsoft I'd ignore them completely. Hey, Microsoft. They're never going to love you. They're douchy and disaffected. Microsoft fans will ignore a good game if that game gets panned by Sony fanboys. Microsoft fans, ignore them. Remember they are douchy. Everyone think for yourself.

Not all PlayStation fans are douches. But there is a vocal douchy minority that types a lot. While it is admirable that Sony takes the losses on seven or eight games knowing they'll make it up on two or three, Microsoft can't do that because too many of their fans punk out because of Sony fanboys.

When Microsoft launched One they set aside 1 billion dollars for exclusives. That is enough to create a lot of games. That is also commitment. Xbox gamers need to commit too. You have to reward developers when they make good games. There are a lot that got ignored. That's why Remedy is multi-plat now.

@dcbronco
Your comment was sooo... not logical. But just to correct you, microsoft said they were allocating "2 billion dollars for 'games'", not 1. Secondly, they said "games" and i belief they ARE spending it on "games" except what they meant by "games" was PR about games, not actually making them.

they are selling lies and deceiving people.why they don't ask that for them? they afraid that they are going to ignore them next year? :)

The diehard fans won't even admit that Microsoft lied about the Cloud. It was supposed to make the Xbox one more powerful than Ps4, but years later we have the One X and the Cloud has done nothing.

PistolsAtDawn2498d ago

As a multi console/PC gamer....this "lack of exclusives" argument doesn't hold weight with me....on top of the 22 games that have some sort of exclusive deal and the fact that all those m ultiplats I'll play on X1X....combine that with the fact that like 95% of the games that MS showed will be out BEFORE then first heavy hitter from Sony releases at all...it just makes no sense to say that first party is the problem...it comes across as a fanboy view on the whole thing.

It also completely discounts all the countless interviews where Phil says there several things in the works and he's trying to get away from announcing too early

Wait you're claiming those titles will be out before GT Sport and Ni Nu Kuni II?

Review: GameScent - Now you can smell your games | KnowTechie

KnowTechie writes: "The GameScent is a unique way to add immersion to your games. Thanks to its HDMI and 3.5mm jack, the device is versatile, so you can use it across your consoles and PC. However, it would be great to see a new range of scents since there are only six, and many smell similar to each other."

Ah yes… whenever I play a game I always think that it would be so much better if my home could smell more like gasoline and burnt gunpowder.
