Wow....not a demanding game at all.

Bigpappy278d ago

Well that depends. It is scalable

Razzer278d ago

Sure, but 1050 ti recommended? That is a budget card. That is good. Means lots of PCs will be able to play it on higher settings.

Bigpappy278d ago

What I intended to say is, that if you what to play at Say 4K ultra, you are going to need at least a 1080 to get 60fps and high settings.

Razzer278d ago (Edited 278d ago )

What are you basing that on?

Forza Horizon 3 is a more demanding game than Forza 7.

4k/60 with GTX 1070 video:

Lol! You think you´ll be able to play Forza 7 at ultra settings @4K/60fps with a GTX 1070?

Forza 7 features 24 ultra quality car models which when racing under extreme weather conditions has a dramatic effect over the framerate.

Forza Horizon 3 is open world and has higher system requirements. Just watch the video.

I'm comparing those two directly and so I say....yeah, GTX 1070 should be able to handle it just fine. We will find out this fall, won't we. My PC also has a GTX 1070 so I'm looking forward to trying it out.

1070 on Forza 6 Apex

"From what I've seen so far, there is some evidence that Scorpio's true 4K performance could pose a challenge to the likes of Nvidia's GTX 1070 and AMD's Fury X-class hardware. I've seen Microsoft's new console running a Forza Motorsport 6-level experience locked to 4K60 on the equivalent to PC's ultra settings - cranking up the quality presets to obscene levels was one of the first things developer Turn 10 did when confronted with the sheer amount of headroom it had left after a straight Xbox One port. Out of interest, we tested Forza 6 Apex with similar settings at 4K on GTX 1060, 1070 and 1080. Frames were dropped on GTX 1060 (and a lot of them when wet weather conditions kicked in), while GTX 1070 held firm with only the most intense wet weather conditions causing performance dips. Only GTX 1080 held completely solid in all test cases."

Not surprising. My mid range setup (i5-6500, gtx 1060) can run Forza 6 Apex at 4k/60 fps with high settings.

I just hope its optimized better than FH3 at launch. Forza 6 Apex runs good for me but Horizon 3 had me jumping from 45-60 too much during the first few months.

Anyway the specs are fine.
