This past summer, movie fans were treated with a number of impressive and blockbuster hits. Outstanding sound, jaw-dropping special effects and even a few decent plot lines poured out of the theatres this summer. Still, what made this summer's box office fare truly unique was the presence of some of our most beloved heroes finally, on the silver screen. Between The Dark Knight, Hellboy II, The Incredible Hulk, and Iron Man, filmmakers grossed an incredible excess of a billion dollars. The Dark Knight alone reached approximately $918 billion in foreign and domestic sales. With such an outstanding showing in the theatres, it's only natural that we expect great things from the videogame industry as well, right?
Ideally, and many game developers have jumped on the bandwagon. In fact, a slew of games following the films, including the critically unfortunate next-gen outing of Iron Man and what was essentially a remake of the Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, and a lot of new projects are on the way.
