The Last Guardian is Sony’s long in the shadow exclusive unlike anything else and is the kind of purely visionary experience the industry needs.
Yep, definitely a must buy.
One of the best SP games this gen...
definately one of the best made SPs in the last 2 generations of consoles ...
Meh. Buggy, boring and decidedly last gen. Depends on how much you fell for the charm but the lack of any memorable puzzles and just boring gameplay made it a disappointment.
@Septic.... keep playing trashy Quantum break or Sunset Overdrive then and stop bothering with Playstation quality...is not for you

Quantum break was cack too. Haven't even bothered with Recore. "Playstation quality...is not for you" 😂😂😂
Yep i only started playing the other day after horizon which had just became my favourite game this gen and after an hr or 2 i thought wow this is my favourite game this gen lol truly captivating experience so far.
Awesome game, disappointed that Rime didn't give me the same kind of experience as this amazing game.
Just had a quick look through your comment history cause your comment sounded suspicious and yep... nothing but pro-Sony comments and remarks of sarcastic downplaying against the other consoles as expected, we both know the real reason Rime disappointed you...
For me personaly a pure masterpice. Truly one of a kind game. I immensely enjoyed every second of it. If you ever want a proff that a videogames can be masterpieces, look no further from The Last Guardian.
UMMM LATE MUCH?
Better than rushing out a click grabbing review to be among the first in the sea of reviewers.
true, but 6 months late? that's a little too much time to get your review out
Salazarnaruto52, You know some outlets still review games that are considered retro, right? 6 months suddenly doesn't seem that long.
A TRUE work of art. Both visually & animation wise! One of the most enjoyable gaming experiences I've ever had the opportunity of playing. Thank you, Ueda, his team, and Sony =)
This is why I respect Sony for following their heart. Nicely done, Sony !
I loved it as much as the prequels
I need to finish this! This game is very unique!
This really IS the Last Guardian review, i guess.
Better late than never :)
Like no other title
Huge fan of Ueda but played this late due to hopes they'd clean up the "horrible frame rate" and all the other terrible-ness that flawed the game. So, I finally break in March and buy it for $30. It's amazing. Also, the frame rate and Trico AI issues were the definition of overblown and exaggerated. It was fine! Sure, it drops a few frames for a second when entering large vistas, etc. Sure, Trico acts lile an actual wild animal for a few seconds before listening to you. Sure. That's beyond fine by me and the latter is better than having an on-rails partner. 9/10 for me. Great game. Cried like a lil baby (lol)
I cried too.. Twice No game before or after has made me cry
I've had a few. Ico, SoTC, Journey, Last Guardian and MGS4 come to mind immediately. I'm sure I've had a few more. It's art. Games are an art form. End of story. I've cried to more games than paintings and probably more than any other form outside of movies and music.
TLG was one of the most boring games I've ever played. I have no idea where all the praise comes from. It's almost as overrated as Witcher 3.
I agree with you about the Witcher 3 I just couldn't get into that game but imo TLG was a decent game with a touching story,it is a niche game.
The praise comes from gamers who are fans of Ueda's previous work ( Ico/SOTC ) and appreciate the vision & different approach to gameplay that him & his team went with for TLG. Everyone's different. Some people love Shooters like CoD, Battlefield/Battlefront. While others only like Madden, FIFA, NBA 2K Etc... Then there's gamers who love all types of games from different genres, which you yourself might be apart of ( I don't know you ) so I won't toss you into a certain group. I'm just saying, some gamers have many different tastes and don't just settle on one type. So many of my friends don't care to try different games, and stick with what they're comfortable with, which is fine. It just depends on the person. Sorry you didn't enjoy the game. For those of us that did, it was an unforgettable experience that I'm sure we'll continue to talk about for years to come.
My god, I love Trico so much.
My game of the year last year :)
It was my worst game of the year last year :(
An amazing unique experience. That's the best way I can describe the last guardian. By the time I got near the end, i just didn't want the game to end. I felt a deep sense of sadness when the credits rolled.
The ending was touching including the game in general.
Such a touching unique experience.
Amazing game, very unique and joyable. Worth the wait and I hope to see more sequels.
Short and Sweet the game was boring . no Guide where to go, end of game you fighting 3 chimera ,return the boy back to his island .
I'm waiting for PS plus giveaway unless this hit $10, don't see myself playing a game that I could finished in 1 or 2 that cost almost $40. I mainly play long single player games.
One of the worst games I've ever played. Control and camera made it unplayable.
