Boomtown: Wipeout HD Review

From the review: "In fact, WipEout HD is a ruthlessly infectious game as a whole. Sony Liverpool has cut no corners in the production process, and to make a game you're thinking about away from the screen is a testament to its ability as a developer. And with many, many hours of gameplay, it'll be a long time before it's forgotten."

If you take the price tag into account, this game is a 15/10 in my book.

This is a little gem of a game. If you own a PS3 you've got to buy this!

A few of the mates (a couple of 360 owners) were over this weekend and had a look and play of WipeOut HD. They were impressed to say the least. The next question out of them was 'if this game can run at those speeds at 1080p @60fps, why aren't we seeing more games at the same level?

what can you say. xbl is missing games like this and all the other in between games that psn has. For £12 its a steal. I wish there was a replay option instead of the photo mode though as I feel thats a gimmick that will only get used out of curiosity.....that curiosity will give a little suprise though;)

i can not put the game down.. there is a level that i almost hurled up on. you are going level and you then fall complete straight down;it is like being on a roller coaster. i believe there is a 8 board 8 player tournament racing that is off the chain.. i met my first "racer X" on Wipeout. we were battling each other for 1,2,and the 3 spot throughout the entire tournament.. i ended up taking 3 overall while he took 6 place. the graphics are the best i seen for a racing game let alone $20 game in my live. there are a lot of tracks/weapons that will blow you away...!! it really is a must buy...

very impressive game indeed, I thought the sound effects on the music tracks was a pretty cool idea.
